The Egerton House Hotel in London, England
The pair of red brick townhouses that make up The Egerton House Hotel stands on 17th Century land that the alderman of London entrusted to slaves being held by Turkish pirates. A string of colorful characters inhabited the mansions through the decades, and remnants of history remain in each uniquely decorated room. Elaborate padded headboards, brocaded fabrics and original antiques combine to create an ambiance that is both stately and welcoming.
Admire Picasso and Matisse originals while enjoying a full English breakfast. Meet the chauffeur arranged by high-end personal shoppers Hiscox Mavroleon who will be escorting you by Bentley to the finest boutiques on Brompton Road. Splurge at Harrods. Request a medium rare Aberdeen Angus steak delivered to the lounge. Catch a West End theatre show.

Reviews for The Egerton House Hotel
I am fortunate in that my job gets me to London on a regular basis and I can't imagine staying anywhere else when I visit. Now I know that sounds cliche'd but for me it is true -certainly for this property. On this visit my husband were treated to a beautiful aria from Tosca by Scott (front of house staff) at about midnight while having a celebration drink with work colleagues for a job well done. Scott also reminded me that on our last visit in March he had recommended some restaurants in Cornwall where we were headed after concluding business. Such a memory. And that is the nature of this staff. Alex (again front of house) sought us out to say goodbye as he would not be on duty on the day of our departure. Who does that in most hotels?! We got a sneak peak at mascot Millie's couture hat for Ascot and when we initially had a small problem with the ventilation in our room Katherine and her team were willing to turn the room bookings around to solve our issue (thank goodness we found our own solution so that their original scheme could remain in place). Michelle (the GM) sets a tone for the staff that is unlike any other property we have stayed in. Egerton House is a small property but they work harder and more successfully to make every guest feel at home. We are not wealthy or important travelers but appreciate that every experience can become memorable through the actions of others. That is the hallmark of this fine hotel

This was our fourth visit to London and the best hotel experience we had in The Edgerton Home Hotel What is outstanding is the impeccable service meted out to us and the whole team was excellent whether it was at the reception or at breakfast. The location is just a five minute walk to Harrods and the Knightsbridge Underground. Being a boutique hotel with a small number of rooms (25-28 ?) it has a cosy and homely ambience. If I visit London again, I will certainly stay here. Very highly recommended.

Lovely homely ambience of the hotel made me love London even more then before! I really was impressed when (according to my request) they served me wonderful breakfast at 11.30 after my sport workout ). Nice location for those who want to shop in Harrods or to run in Hyde Parc. Not big but lovely rooms with nice beds. Perfect for a long weekend for couples.
The Egerton Hotel checks all the boxes for me when coming to choosing a hotel. Most of all, I am able to completely rest and relax. I attribute this to the outstanding amenities and comfort of each room. Each room has a unique look but each has the common thread of feeling like your own personal bedroom, not a sterile hotel room, and for a person who has a problem sleeping and relaxing this is a priceless contribution to the overall experience. I also value the fact that many of the staff have been with the hotel for years. Its nice to check in and see familiar faces and not a new staff each time one arrives. They make the experience feel familiar and more comfortable.
We were so fortunate to stay at The Edgerton House Hotel during our recent visit to London. It is a cozy, beautiful boutique hotel with an elegant interior, rooms, and furnishings. Our room, which featured a four-postered bed, was spacious and gorgeous. The hotel staff, especially at the front desk, could not have been more friendly and helpful. The hotel staff was professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. Lastly, breakfasts in the intimate breakfast dining room were memorable - deliciously prepared hot breakfasts, as well as a tasty cold buffet. A wonderful experience – we plan to stay again at The Edgerton House Hotel when we return to London within a year.
