The Egerton House Hotel in London, England

The pair of red brick townhouses that make up The Egerton House Hotel stands on 17th Century land that the alderman of London entrusted to slaves being held by Turkish pirates. A string of colorful characters inhabited the mansions through the decades, and remnants of history remain in each uniquely decorated room. Elaborate padded headboards, brocaded fabrics and original antiques combine to create an ambiance that is both stately and welcoming.

Admire Picasso and Matisse originals while enjoying a full English breakfast. Meet the chauffeur arranged by high-end personal shoppers Hiscox Mavroleon who will be escorting you by Bentley to the finest boutiques on Brompton Road. Splurge at Harrods. Request a medium rare Aberdeen Angus steak delivered to the lounge. Catch a West End theatre show.

Stunning building, great location, very efficient staff, lovely breakfast, quite a unique place. Definitely a place to go for a special treat (it was for my birthday). A welcome drink of our choice was brought to our room. Our room (14) wasn't large but it was beautifully decorated and had a very nice bathroom. One slight surprise was that there was no turn down service and the drinks glasses from our arrival drink remained in our room until our departure the next morning.

Felt like a home. Staff provided a great personalized experience. Perfect location. Harrods, museums, and restaurants nearby. Rooms and facilities are immaculate. Concierge located difficult-to-get play tickets at last minute.Would recommend to all.

We stayed 2 nights for a visit to Chelsea Flower Show, and could not recommend Egerton House Hotel more highly. This is an attractive, friendly, comfortable and individual hotel, a pleasant 20 minute walk to the gates. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Alex, who treated us like personal guests the whole time. He was helpful and interested, and gave us the excellent dinner tip for Giovanni round the corner, where we went for dinner both evenings. Breakfast was lovely, other guests friendly, the bedroom was perfect with lovely goose down pillows (there was a choice), and there is a comfortable small hotel bar - Alex introduced us to the very good barman. We were also given a packet of sweet peas to sow, with a lovely note and instructions, because we had spent the day at Chelsea Flower Show. Lovely touches, we were made to feel very welcome.

We have stayed at the Egerton house in two different occasions in the past two months. First time with our two kids - the Egerton house is simply a perfect place for staying with kids. We were given two interconnecting rooms with a private corridor creating a big suite accommodation, the team was highly attentive to all of us and in particular to our doughters making them feel so at home and so happy, its apparent that the Egerton house is genuinely a kids friendly place. Last week we stayed just the two of us for three nights in a beautiful room, once again the Egerton house proved to be perfect in each an every respect and above all is the wonderful and exceptional team (front desk, concierge, at breakfast and in the bar) that really care for you and for your well being, all in a beautiful home and in a superb location
