The pair of red brick townhouses that make up The Egerton House Hotel stands on 17th Century land that the alderman of London entrusted to slaves being held by Turkish pirates. A string of colorful characters inhabited the mansions through the decades, and remnants of history remain in each uniquely decorated room. Elaborate padded headboards, brocaded fabrics and original antiques combine to create an ambiance that is both stately and welcoming.

My wife and I had for weeks been looking forward to our small escape to London, and the Egerton House Hotel overdid even our high expectation. The friendliness and attentiveness of the ladies and gentlemen working there, the high standard and welcoming feeling of our elegant room, the atmosphere of the whole establishment and in particular the bar: We enjoyed every minute of it. Each afternoon/early evening we made sure to enjoy the best martini, in the most relaxing environment, with great conversations. Our lovely room was cleaned atleast two times per day. It faced towards the beautiful green garden at the back, in complete tranquility. The location was perfect; peaceful and calm, but just a short walk from everything. This will be our regular place in London from now on.

Great location, excellent accommodations and a wonderful staff. The staff makes the Edgerton. They helped with arranging restaurants, taxis, venues, etc. The food and martinis are very good.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Egerton House Hotel in London, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Everything was perfect from the outstanding staff service to the impeccable cleanliness throughout the hotel. The food and breakfast were of a very high standard, and housekeeping was consistently thorough and attentive. What truly stood out, however, was the warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere. The team made the stay feel personal and genuinely comfortable from start to finish. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a refined yet inviting stay in London.

I had an excellent time in this establishment (4 night stay). The room was lovely, well decorated and above all, well ventilated. Slept really well. The breakfast was also excellent, especially the coffee was surprisingly good (mostly not the case in Britain). Location of the hotel is superb, the tube and bus stops right nearby and the area itself pleasant to wander around. The hotel vibe is very cozy, as if you are visiting with distant relatives - they are very welcoming, but do not hover. The free V&A museum pass was a bonus. Summa summarum, could not fault it, and would stay again.
