The pair of red brick townhouses that make up The Egerton House Hotel stands on 17th Century land that the alderman of London entrusted to slaves being held by Turkish pirates. A string of colorful characters inhabited the mansions through the decades, and remnants of history remain in each uniquely decorated room. Elaborate padded headboards, brocaded fabrics and original antiques combine to create an ambiance that is both stately and welcoming.

We really enjoyed the Egerton House Hotel! It felt like a home away from home (a very comfortable home with wonderful tea and shortbread cookies always available). We were able to walk or take the tube everywhere from the National Gallery of Art to the British Museum to the Tate Modern and by train to Cambridge. We appreciated the front desk staff very much. Mustafa, Angel, Benjamin, Giulia and Sarah really went the distance for us for every request. The personal approach they took made it a very enjoyable stay. Our room was really great too (thanks to Mustafa)!

More than wonderful hotel. A very warm welcome, the personal approach, the help we received to make our V&A visit extra special, the eye for every detail and the endless excellent service is outstanding. We enjoyed our stay with 3 generations immensely. CU in the future and a big thank you to all.

This lovely hotel is everything one could want! The staff are all incredibly helpful and nice - really excellent service in every respect, from the front desk, concierge, bar tender (Chinmay is just excellent!), housekeeping, breakfast room and afternoon tea host- every single person we dealt with was absolutely above and beyond. The rooms are SO comfortable and beautiful! We had a wonderful time (this was our 4th visit), and we will definitely return.

The team at the Egerton made my stay so memorable! The hotel itself is intimate and cozy, with well-appointed rooms, an exceptional breakfast and an inviting lounge. The team is what sets it apart, making it not just a place to stay but an experience to remember. I would stay here again without hesitation!

We were so impressed with the Egerton House and the staff! The attention to detail was amazing. From the staff calling you by name the minute you walk in the door, to the lovely touches in the room, it is truly a five star hotel. Still and sparkling water, homemade shortbread, turn down service with attention to every detail in the room all made our stay special. If you like a small hotel with remarkable service and a room that goes above and beyond expectations, the Egerton House is the ideal destination.
