At this circa-1892 hotel, rich woods and luxurious fabrics ensconce the guest with an unparalleled sense of indulgence from the lobby to meeting rooms to each individual guest room. The Royal Albert Hall location makes The Gore Hotel a hideout for artists and power brokers, a long-time standby for fine fare and genteel conversation. A Preferred Boutique property, part of the Preferred Hotel Group, The Gore Hotel is an authentic journey in and of itself.

We loved this hotel. It was beautifully decorated. The service at every point was amazing! Christian was so awesome and made us feel comfortable as we flew in overnight and were exhausted. There was a wonderful waiter from Spain (I can’t remember his name!) and he was especially amazing. The food at the restaurant in the hotel is so good! Would definitely recommend having dinner there. Honestly, everyone that worked there were just wonderful. Room was small, but not surprised as it is an old building.

Very small not inexpensive room virtually no storage other than a tiny wardrobe. Room needs a refurb tatty paint work chipped cracked tiles in the bathroom with grout coming away panel under sink kept falling off. Air conditioning very difficult to alter. A voluntary 5% service charge automatically added to bill unless you refuse not sure why on earth that is necessary given the cost of the rooms. Bar closed at10pm on Sunday we were told last orders at 9.20 when we walked in. Refused entrance to bar the next night as it was full! We were let in 20 mins later. Difficult conversation with manager as we checked out leaving me feel very uncomfortable.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable 3-night stay at The Gore. It was great to be so near the Albert Hall and Hyde Park. Outstanding service with a feeling that we were staying amongst friends in central London. Our bedroom was very comfortable. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant (excellent choice of food and outstanding service from Andrea and others) as well as breakfast on each of our 3 mornings there.

We treated my parents to a Junior Suite at The Gore Hotel on Monday (22nd April) to make life easier for them as they had tickets to an Albert Hall concert. They have both recently had heart operations and tire quickly. We paid £575.00 for 1 night for this junior suite. The whole Hotel was freezing cold, the thermostat in the room didn't work and there was no hot water for a bath. They tried to sit in the lounge for a drink after the concert and all tables were reserved but empty! The turn down service didn't visit and it was generally a cold atmosphere throughout. Whilst we appreciate this is an old hotel at these prices you would hope for some comfort and heating! A measly £30 was refunded on checkout when these issues were highlighted and an offer of free breakfast on their next visit (which is pointless as we would never consider this expensive unimpressive option again, so scant consolation!!). I would love to have provided the Gore with this feedback directly but perhaps unsurprisingly they have not sought any feedback from me, despite the booking details being in my name. I would not recommend this hotel to friends and family when there are so many others to choose from.
