Reviews for Hotel Cafe Royal

The best stay ever!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Hotel Café Royal exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, Aman at the front desk set the tone — warm, attentive, and genuinely on top of every detail. The concierge team was equally impressive, seamlessly adjusting our reservations without a hint of hassle. It's rare to find a team this coordinated where every touchpoint feels effortless. Lunch at Cakes & Bubbles was an absolute highlight — phenomenal from start to finish, and worth a visit even if you're not staying at the hotel. The amenities throughout the property are outstanding as well, and everything feels thoughtfully maintained. The location on Regent Street can't be beat, but what truly sets this hotel apart is the service. This team anticipates what you need before you ask. We'll absolutely be back.

Lovely holiday in London

We had a lovely stay. The lobby when you first walked in is beautiful and inviting and had some tennis Incorporated given we were staying during Wimbledon. Our room was overlooking the Piccadilly Circus and you could not hear any outside noise. The bed was extremely comfortable in the shower had great water pressure. We had our four month old daughter with us and had everything that we needed during our stay without having to ask for it. Upon arrival we already had a crib, baby bath, wipes, and baby bathing essentials. The staff was extremely attentive between the welcoming into the hotel, helping us leave the hotel, and cleaning our room. It was a welcomed retreat, coming back to our room with cool AC during this heat wave. The spa was very relaxing, especially with the heat wave. We really enjoyed using the pool. We had lunch one afternoon and the fillet was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. One morning we went on a sunrise tour and the staff was friendly enough to box up our breakfast for us to take. We will look forward to staying again here hopefully the next time we’re in London!

The location and the service make this hotel well worth recommending

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

A very good hotel with excellent service and facilities. The breakfast is more than adequate in terms of quality and choice, but costs extra Spacious room (Deluxe Double) with just one window, no fresh air. The air conditioning was a bit temperamental, but there was a large, comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with a large shower. The bathroom doors are impractically large and heavy. A very central location, excellent for a weekend trip, just a 1-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus; you can’t hear any street noise inside the hotel. When checking out, it’s advisable to check the bill carefully to make sure there isn’t perhaps a bit too much charged – a shame, but that shouldn’t happen in one of London’s best hotels.

Ours was one of the best stays that we’ve had. Incredible service and amazing staff. I am especially thankful to the night manager who went to extreme lengths above and beyond what you would expect from a luxury hotel. Thank you

An elevated experience from Start to Finish!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who looked after us during our stay. It was a truly elevated experience, made possible by the extraordinary care, warmth, and friendliness shown by every member of the team. From Guest Relations, the Doormen, Reception, the Spa, The Grill Room, The Gallery, and Cakes & Bubbles, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout. We experienced so many delightful aspects of what the hotel has to offer, all delivered effortlessly. In fact, the memories of our stay have remained with us for so long that it has taken this amount of time to properly express our gratitude. I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the wonderful team members who made our visit so memorable. A special thank you to Marcella and Michelle for hosting us so graciously during afternoon tea. We were also delighted by Jake, the Footman, whose local knowledge, street smarts, and willingness to assist made a real difference for our guests. Our gratitude goes to Shah Jahan for warmly greeting us in the lobby late into his night shift, and to Olivia at the Spa Desk for her genuinely warm welcome. Thank you as well to Rio and Marcellus for their excellent service at breakfast in The Gallery, and to Himalaya for the thoughtful tour of the children's room. We greatly appreciated Roy's alfresco interlude, which was a particular delight for our wine-connoisseur guest. Most especially, I would like to recognize Ricardo, who left an outstanding impression on both my family and our guests. His welcoming style, genuine care, attentiveness, and invaluable assistance during checkout exemplified exceptional hospitality. Ricardo's professionalism and warmth elevated our entire experience and made us feel truly valued from beginning to end. Finally, thank you to Alexis and the entire Guest Relations team for the welcome card, warm wishes, and consistently exemplary service. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest experience were truly remarkable. Please convey our heartfelt appreciation to each of these team members. They created a stay that was not only luxurious, but also deeply personal and memorable. We look forward to returning. Highly recommended!
