Hotel Cafe Royal

My overall experience was excellent. I was very happy with the service, and everything was smooth and comfortable.

I booked at room at this legendary hotel with the purpose of proposing to my girlfriend. Throughout the entire process, Louis from Guest Relations worked closely to make it the most seamless, enjoyable, magical, and perfect moment ever. The hotel is beautiful and bespoke, the amenities are next level, and the staff are kind, professional, passionate, and pretty much as good as you're going to get anywhere on the planet. We had tickets for Moulin Rouge which was just a 2 minute walk away from the hotel, making it the perfect location without making it too noisy - absolutely incredible. Clean with prompt turnover service and just an awesome experience to remember for the rest of my life. And also... she said yes!

A perfect hotel in a perfect location. We were celebrating my big birthday and an anniversary over four nights and the hotel went to a great deal of trouble to make it special in every way, from a discounted upgrade and breakfast, to a wonderfully decorated room. Breakfast was excellent apart from one wobble where on the second day our starter and main course arrived at the same time, with the latter potentially to be left on the table to go cold, while we ate the first course. It was quickly sent back. The staff are so kind and friendly. A special shout out to Roy in the Belle Epoque Grill room, who made our dinner there a truly memorable occasion. We are already planning our next stay. Sadly, the complimentary car was never available when we wanted it but we will book a suite with a car for sole use next time. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Café Royal and cannot say enough about how beautiful the hotel is and the exceptional level of service we experienced throughout our visit. The hotel itself is stunning—elegant, luxurious, and beautifully maintained, with an incredible location in the heart of London. Our room was gorgeous, extremely comfortable, beautifully appointed, and truly felt like a five-star experience in every way. We enjoyed both in-room breakfast and breakfast at the restaurant, and both were excellent. The in-room breakfast was beautifully presented and such a luxurious way to start the morning. We also really enjoyed the hotel bar—the atmosphere, drinks, surroundings, and service were fantastic. What stood out most was the level of service. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and well cared for. The staff were professional, gracious, attentive, and consistently made us feel special. Hotel Café Royal is a beautiful property, but it is the combination of the location, accommodations, dining, atmosphere, and outstanding service that makes it truly memorable. Without question, this was a five-star experience, and we would highly recommend Hotel Café Royal to anyone looking for a special luxury stay in London. We have wonderful memories of our time there and would absolutely stay again.

Location, Location, Location... is what set this hotel apart. You are in the centre of everything in London. However, communal areas are limited. The hotel advertises itself as a family friendly hotel, which having stayed previously, is something I would dispute. the social media campaigns imply children's clubs but they are not open on the weekends nor are the bars. My USB cable resulted in my phone not being charged overnight and the breakfast was good but not exceptional. I would have liked to have seen more Concierge members with the crossed golden keys as the service was slow at times and their knowledge not as I would expect for a hotel of this level and for the hotel car to have more availability. A good stay for a prime location but there are more attentive and hospitable hotels nearby.
