Short notice booking, great location, friendly staff, very comfortable and well equipped room. Stayed on the premises for <10 hours so didn't explore beyond the sleeping accommodation. All good, only missing an iron/board in the room rather than engaging housekeeping, but they were prompt in resolving that need.

We stayed a few nights at the Jumeriah Lowndes Hotel in April. One thing to get over is the really dated facade. It is not in great condition and being out on our balcony it was really evident the building needed some TLC. The location was outstanding but the hotel was not as luxurious as we were hoping for. We had heard good things about the Lowndes Hotel and it did not match our expectations but we have no regrets about booking it. We had a great time in London and you can not beat the location. The hotel room was comfortable and the staff were very nice. The rooms were quite small but that is to be expected in London. We booked an executive room which was larger than the regular rooms but clearly not as large as a suite and I almost wished we had booked a suite just to have the extra room. In all fairness we were out and about mostly so I got over my 'room size issue' pretty fast. We literally just slept there so everything worked out just fine. The bedding was super comfortable and the room was well appointed. We had a nice balcony which we used to enjoy coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening (thanks to the very convenient Waitrose around the corner for supplies and a bottle of wine). We did not dine at the hotel but we enjoyed drinks one evening and had coffee one afternoon in the lounge area. There are many restaurants in the area and you are close to the Knightsbridge shopping and Hyde Park. You can not beat this location for accessibility to the theater district. We would stay here again for the location alone. Behind the hotel is the famous clothing store of Stewart Parvin who is the couturier to H.M. The Queen. Definitely worth stopping into his boutique to browse the amazing clothing.

This hotel was booked as a treat for a special weekend. Whilst not cheap at Ā£200 a night, it was lovely. Check in was smooth, hot hand towels on arrival and all our needs were taken care of by beautifully mannered staff. Immaculate, modern room with all the usual. We were lucky to have a view of the square. It wasn't the most spacious but it was fine for us. The location is off Sloane Square so if you want to spend some serious money (we didn't) in security guarded shops you can. We walked everywhere from here. It took about forty five minutes to get to Buckingham Palace. The hotel is surrounded by pretty mews style streets with unusual independent shops. Plenty of good traditional pubs in the area that unless you type a search into trip adviser, you will struggle to find. We had a busy two days planned so we knew we wouldn't use the spa and gym available to us at the sister hotel which was a few minutes away. Whilst the menus and restaurant area looked good our plans for the weekend meant we are elsewhere. Would love to return and I'd definitely spend a few hours at the spa.

Don't be put off by the lobby - the rooms are beautifully updated and surprisingly spacious for London! The staff is helpful and courteous. Quick access to the tube and a nice area to walk around. Overall a very enjoyable stay and not bad value for the price - especially in this area of London.

It pains me to say but a huge "wake up call" is required for this lovely little hotel whose staff is warm , friendly and extremely helpful....but who are let down by this hotel that is looking a little worn around the edges now. They need a major overhaul and not just the slap dash patch up...of late. This has always been my haven...but the cracks, stains, and flailing paint should match the luxurious standards one expects. Otherwise a " bijou" in the heart of Knightsbridge.
