Having been a firm favourite of the hotel for the past ten years our last two visits have proven to be somewhat of a let down. Being a member of the leaders club all previous visits came with an upgrade but not this visit, however, all of the rooms are some of the best in London (Hotel is spotless with some exceptions read on). We noticed on this visit bags of rubbish dumped on the beautifully ornate tables scattered Round the hotel which were left there most of the day. In addition to this, when we collected our room key a group of obviously drunken girls were checking in and screaming at the top of their voices and had a line of pint glasses on the reception desk not a great advert for a five star hotel. Things went down hill further at breakfast with having to chase staff after waiting fifteen minutes for our drinks to be ordered and then finding out all the hot food containers were empty. Day two the drinks problem persisted and again no hot food. The Hotel is beautiful, but based on this we have decided it’s time for a change when visiting London, prior to the hotel changing owners the service was up there with the best in the world.

The girl serving the Champagne upstairs in the Champagne Bar was lovely and very professional and the service by Roshan for our afternoon tea was excellent. A very good day.

We loved the champagne bar and the young girl serving the cocktails was a brilliant. We then had afternoon tea and were served by Rohan. Excellent service and knew that I did not eat truffle.

It was a very exceptional afternoon tea experience. Staff are friendly. The pianist is very talented. To Precious, Bela, and Agnelo, thank you for making our afternoon extra special. Will be back in the future with friends.
