We stayed at the Landmark London in early September. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted warmly. Check-in was a breeze and we were taken to our room. Our room was gorgeous and very spacious. The bathroom was one of the largest we've seen in a hotel. During our stay, we had breakfast at their breakfast buffet, drinks in the Mirror Bar, and dinner in the restaurant. All dining was excellent. The service was outstanding on all levels, from the concierge, to the wait staff. The location is excellent - Baker Street is a quick walk away and Marylebone Station is directly behind the hotel so you are able to hop on the Tube easily. Overall - great hotel and we will definitely return!

We had great time in the hotel. From start to finish we were treated as we were special, the check in staff we really friendly and made us aware of everything that the hotel had to offer,we were upgraded to the marlybone studio which was a super room which looked onto the winter garden, the room was spotlessly clean and the turn down service was a treat. The spa with its lovely sauna and swimming pool was just what was needed, there were some nice chill out areas with loungers which were very comfortable. We had a meal in the winter garden and were served by a lovely bunch of waiters, after a good nights sleep we used the pool again and had a fantastic breakfast that catered for every taste again the staff were really kind and always on hand to serve you. This is possibly the best short break we have had in a leading London hotel deffintley the nicest staff.

The reason for staying at the landmark was to attend a 70th birthday party being held there. The valet parking was a surprise but very useful as you drive up to the front door and step out and the staff take over from removing your baggage to parking the car so all you have to do is walk to the desk and book in. The rooms are very nice and spotlessly clean coming down to the centre of the hotel you are looking at a fantastic atrium with palm trees and at night is definitely a wow factor. I could not find the location of the party I was looking for but the staff were very helpful and showed me where to go. We had a three course meal in a private function room but the skill of the service and food was very good. The next morning arriving downstairs for breakfast you are seated within the palm trees and is a great place for people watching. the selection is very good at the staff even bring and top up your fruit juice while you are sitting at your table. You are not rushed in any way and check out was easy as they call for your car to be brought round you can stroll outside. I think the speed of delivery of your car depends on the traffic in the area as they have to drive around the block so do not be too eager to rush outside as this is London after all you do not expect the car to be there straight away. a very good hotel that I would recommend to anyone who whished to stay in the area.

We wanted to give my mum, in her eighties, a special birthday treat. We met her from the Hull train and after a short taxi ride we were outside The Landmark arriving under the canopy between Marylebone Station and the hotel to be greeted by the marvellous Rupert, the bowler-hatted hotel doorman, a cross between your favourite twinkly uncle, a character from Dickens and a town crier. When Rupert shouts (I mean bellows) 'TAXI' one is on the doorstep before the last echo has faded. Rupert labelled our luggage and directed us to reception where the staff were simply lovely, attentive and calm, making us feel like the only guests in the hotel. One of our rooms was ready so we were able to freshen up before taking mum to lunch followed by the matinee of 'Annie' We had booked two superior rooms which turned out to be adjacent and identical mirror images of each other. They were simply beautiful but also very practical. We've stayed in a few five star hotels around the world so are not easily impressed but these rooms were exceptional. Throughout the hotel the housekeeping staff greeted us as we passed adding to the sense of welcome. After the theatre we met up with our daughters and a friend for a meal in the Winter Garden where we were able to mix and match dishes from the set and a la carte menus. The Winter Garden is set in a large central area of the hotel with a very high glass roof creating a huge space but with large potted palms giving a sense of style and intimacy, a pianist on the mezzanine played throughout our meal adding to the atmosphere. The front of house team were charming and attentive without being intrusive and had noted my wife's gluten intolerance. We have had experience of lightly toasted sliced supermarket-bought gluten free bread in Michelin starred restaurants in the past, so she was delighted to be given a selection of freshly baked rolls which she thought were simply sublime. We were spaced far enough from other diners to be very comfortable and had a truly delicious meal at a pace carefully co-ordinated by the waiting staff. We all slept soundly and were sufficiently recovered to enjoy the international gourmet feast which is breakfast at The Landmark. We checked out and in a jiffy Rupert, who remembered our names from the previous day despite never having seen us before, had us installed in the back of a black cab. This all happened a week ago and last night I spoke to my mum on the telephone, she felt like she'd had a fortnight's holiday in one day and couldn't stop thinking and talking about her wonderful night at The Landmark. In summary it was everything we hoped it might be and much more besides. The building is beautiful but it was the wonderful staff who really made the difference to our stay. Was it cheap? No. Was it good value? You bet it was, for mum the experience of a lifetime and how can you put a price on that. I think we need to start saving up for a return trip!
