Arrival and Check-In: 4/5 We arrived around 5pm and check-in was quick and friendly. I booked for 1 night for 2 people. Room: 3/5 Amenities: Kettle with tea/coffee, coffee maker, hand soap, hand cream, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner, robes, slippers, tissues and a hair dryer. Wireless charger pad, umbrella and bed side charging pad. I was in a deluxe room, and the room which has some modern and was a decent size. There were signs of wear and tear and carpet needed a deep clean. There are no spare power points by the bed. but there is a charging pad, but this wasn't useful for me and my C-Pap machine, which I need for my asthma. I asked the reception and maintenance came to the room and said I would not be able to plug anything in by the bed. I then suggested unplugging the charging pad and using that socket, which they did. The bed was firm, but the pillows were a no for me. They were too thin and there were no spare pillows in the cupboard. On inspection of the room, I noticed the coffee machine had not been fully serviced. It was missing a coffee pod and also the room as a whole was a little dusty. The AC wouldn't work, it was a very warm room and the temp stayed at 24 degrees celsius. In the end I turned it off. The rooms are not sound proofed, which might not be a problem unless your room overlooks the interior, which mine did. There was live music that evening, which was nice, but too loud when you are in your room and choose not to listen to the entertainment. This was not a major issue for me, but one to note. The TV was a good size, but I was confused as to why they had a choice of Chrome Cast, which didn’t work. It would only work if connected my phone via a HDMI cable, which I always carry. The brightness/contrast on the TV cannot be changed. Once you connected your phone via a cable, the screen appeared much darker than the phone screen. There were also no options for subtitles, even when pressing the button, I found this to be not very inclusive. The bathroom was nice, separate shower and bath, I requested bath salts, which was placed in the room, which I appreciated. The White Company bathroom amenities are a nice touch. There was also a hose next to the toilet (maybe instead of a bidet) very powerful, like a power cleaner and the water was ice cold. Gym/Spa: 4/5 The spa was closed when I visited and the fitness room, which was located in a room on the 4th floor. It had a bike, treadmills, cross trainers, kettle and medicine balls along with free weights and water and headphones. I hope they'll be incorporating the gym in the spa renovation. Service: 5/5 The staff at the front desk were nice, most staff I engaged with were also nice, no issues on this front. Location: 5/5 Situated in central London, with hotel entrances opposite Marylebone station and on Marylebone Road. Very close to Baker Street & walking distance to Paddington. Overall: 4/5 I would not rush to return, as I would with other hotels in the London. If I was staying longer, I would have brought some issues to their attention for fixing. This hotel is a great choice for those looking to stay in a central location at a location with history.

What a fantastic experience we had at this hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was utter perfection. The friendly doormen, helpful reception staff, superb room & fabulous breakfast…. it was all pretty much perfect. Our room was very well appointed, we loved the marble bathroom with white company toiletries. We were delighted to find an iron and ironing board in the cupboard and the coffee machine and tea making equipment was top-notch, we liked how the tea making things were in the cupboard with a slide out drawer- a genius solution rather than having everything cluttering up the worktop. Literally my only quibble would be that the pillows had seen better days and were a bit on the mean, thin side. We agreed that for the price of the room, there should have been a choice of feather or microfibre pillows. The Aircon was very noisy – not really a problem in the winter although we do prefer a cool room but I would imagine in the summer when you can’t open the window it might pose more of a problem. A nice late checkout meant we could enjoy breakfast at our leisure.

Great service, Rodica and the rest of the team were very attentive. Fantastic experience, would highly recommend. My friend and I were both celebrating our birthdays and were each gifted a beautiful desert while the pianist played Happy Birthday.
