My wife and I stayed at The Landmark for 3 nights. The hotel, the room and the staff were all outstanding. We were on the 6th floor in an executive level room, which was large - with a large closet and a large bathroom. The room faced an interior atrium which was quiet. We usually stay in Mayfair, this was our first stay in Marlybone and we found the location very convenient. We had high tea and 3 breakfasts in the Winter Garden and 2 dinners in the 222 restaurant and all were excellent. We will stay at The Landmark on our next trip to London!

This is the first time we stayed at the beautiful Landmark hotel and we will be back! My family (which included a 14 year old and a 11 year old) booked a family suite. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The Marlyebone station is located at the back of the hotel this allowed us to travel very easily throughout London. In addition to easy transportation, the area surrounding the hotel was very safe. The TwoTwentyTwo restaurant and Winter Garden restaurants were outstanding. All in all, it was a wonderful stay.

When we arrived at the Landmark, we were greeted by a very friendly door man. Upon entering, we were met with the fragrant smell of fresh cut flowers. Our check in was quick, easy and friendly. We were given our room assignment and up we went to discover a simply lovely room. Again, the wonderful smell in the hallways lured us into our remarkable room that was to be our home for the next week. OUR ROOM An executive king on the 6th floor overlooking the street. Very large at 50 sq. meters, it was just the perfect size for a long term stay. A marble bathroom with 2 sinks attached to a marble bathtub and separate marble shower was delightful. A large well lite walk in closet was perfect for all our needs. The bed was very comfortable and provided a good nights sleep. Hotel is very quiet. Each room has its own doorbell! Our room had a foyer that led to the sitting area containing: a desk, 2 seat sofa, and a chair, as well as a desk complete with all adaptors needed for international travel needs. Also, the room had a very large flat screen T.V. sitting atop of a dresser/mini bar. Room was very tastefully decorated (as was the whole hotel). As to price, well you get what you pay for, we booked early and got the 7 for 5 rate (which made a big difference) and enhanced our stay by pre ordering our breakfast (25 pounds p/d p/p) Included in that price was a welcome bottle of champagne (good stuff too I might add). DINING We ate every morning at the Winter Garden and it was delightful. Food was fresh and cooked to order. You never had to wait for anything. 5 star dining to be sure. On weekends and bank holidays, they offer a full buffet, which consists of everything off their weekly menu. Outstanding selection of foods. I even sampled many different types of fare that are not normally offered at most hotels. Cost: 31 pounds p/p Didn't eat dinner here but was thrilled upon arriving late to the hotel one night to find a woman playing the harp...how lovely is that? The Twotwentytwo in the basement was a MAJOR disappointment, and I wrote an independent review of our experiences at this place under the restaurants trip advisor site. In short, not a great place to eat, they tend to treat some guests like crap! THE SPA Simply the best I've ever seen. Large with every comfort of home and more. A large waiting area for waiting for a spa treatment was tranquil and offered fresh fruit and chilled lemon water. The change area gave each visitor a private locker that contained a robe, slippers and a towel. The next room had all the fitness machines and a fine selection was found there. As an avid swimmer, I just LOVED the chlorine free pool 15 meters in length (although I did find the water temp. a little too hot for my liking. Also in this area is a very large jaccuzi, a glassed in sauna room, cold & hot showers as well as a sitting/lounging area. A simply remarkable fitness centre. HOTEL LOCATION The only real action around this hotel is 2 blocks away on Baker St. Some small restaurants (nothing fancy) and the Sherlock Holmes museum (very pricy) and the Baker St. tube stop. If you walk out the back door of the hotel you are at the Marylebone rail station which has a few places to grab a quick bite (Burger King) and a Marks & Spencers for your late night snacks (if you don't want a pizza from Pizza Express that is). KUDOS GO TO... >Our door man Rupert who delighted us with tales of his father's time spent in Canada. What a wonderful man and a credit to this hotel! (you see Rupert, I didn't forget you:) >Olga at the front desk that had to put up with me crying at check in....love ya Olga! >Anya our lovely Polish breakfast server, that took such good care of us every morning and even oversaw the making of our eggs so they'd be just right. A hug goodbye on our last morning meant the world to me. It made me feel like I was leaving behind a wonderful friend. >The Entire concierge team, always there and helpful. No request was too big or too small. >The Spa Manager (sorry I forgot your name) He was wonderful, and after my first visit he always greeted me by name...that made me feel very special. He runs a very tight and efficient ship. CONCLUSION Simply grand hotel. I suspect it is mainly for business travellers and special occasions. If we ever return to London, we WILL only stay at the Landmark, a hotel that well deserves its 5 star rating. Thank you!

This was a return visit with my husband after staying previously with a friend. We arrived late to check in. Reception were very helpful and offered to show us to our room. We were greeted with a wonderful surprise. A cake for my husband's birthday with a birthday message written in chocolate on a slate and some chocolate covered strawberries. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. We headed out to dinner and on return still found the doorman helpful and friendly. The bed was really comfy and we slept really well. Breakfast was very quiet being a Tuesday morning. Service was fast and friendly and the breakfast was yummy but huge!! Great selection of continental options too. We didn't have time to check out the spa as I understand it has undergone some changes. Would love to stay again soon and use the spa next time!

We were staying with a large group so I had my doubts about the quality of stay we would be getting. I was so wrong! It's a gorgeous hotel with the most attentive staff. Transportation (the tube, taxis and trains) are just behind the hotel. This does not make it noisy nor traffic congested surprisingly enough. BUT so convenient to get around London! Located in a very safe, mature neighborhood it's a very pleasant place to return to. Rooms are spacious and clean. Very comfortably maintained. I would suggest if you were flying in and arrived early in the morning (your room might not be ready yet.) There is a wonderful winter garden with a brunch well worth the pounds (weight wise and monetarily) but you must make reservations ahead of time. The weekends are booked and no spots are reserved for incoming guests.
