Reviews for The Landmark London
Well this hotel is by far the best Hotel I stay at when I need to stay the night in London....the staff are consistently top notch and attentive, the room feels like a palace, the food and the Gazebo restaurant from the breakfast and dinner is my favourite and the ambience is such that it feels like I am coming home. And seek out the General Manager Andrew Batchelor, always makes time for the guests! Five star and beyond....

My wife and I have just had a fabulous weekend. We had Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning at the Landmak. Went to the theatre in Piccadilly, which incidentally, was only a ten/fifteen minute cab journey, we were joined by my Brother and Sister in Law. We both stayed in suites on the first floor and they were immaculate. Every little detail had been thought out so carefully. The rooms were lavish and beautifully appointed, immaculately clean and spotless. The bathroom was grand and the shower was amazing. We had a delicious, unhurried breakfast in the beautiful winter garden this morning, buffet style choices of full English, continental, breads, pastries, smoked salmon, cheeses, fruits, smoothies and yogurts. There was also a chef onsite making omelettes to order. Absolutely everything you could want was available and presented beautifully! All the members of staff were very pleasant and attentive to all the guests. I have passed by the Landmark on many occasions and marvelled, from the outside, at the beautiful architecture. Well, I have to say the inside is exactly as you would hope. Breathtaking. This hotel is quintessentiallly London. If you are coming to this city, why would you stay anywhere else. 5 stars plus throughout! Thank you.

The Landmark is our go-to hotel for a London break; as we did this weekend. As 'friends of the Landmark' members we get discounts, preferential rates, complimentary room upgrades and other little extras and I'd argue that amongst the other five star accommodations in the city, this hotel is still charging more competitively, even before the preferential rates. We love the Landmark for it's grand spaces; the Winter Garden is a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner and we have done so on many occasions now. The rooms are also the quietest of any hotel rooms I've stayed anywhere in the world and have had the same classic look now for getting on twenty years, but they're beautifully presented, extremely spacious, comfortable and full of detailed extras. The marble bathrooms are huge, with a massive bath, separate shower, toilet and double sink area and immense water pressure! I love much about the hotel which is probably why I use it so much and not just for recreation but I regularly invite business guests for meetings here as well. The little things I would call out this time would be the lack of a bar that was open at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon when we'd arranged to meet friends who were joining us. Yes you can order drinks in the seating area outside the Winter Garden but ironically that's probably the hotels weakest feature, especially if you can't use the space on the mezzanine, which we couldn't. Both the Mirror bar and 222 were closed. Saturday at 1pm, really? Also, we booked a weakenders package and so our breakfast was included in our rate along with Champagne in the room. It's normally £34 a head for breakfast and frankly, it isn't good enough for that much and primarily as it is now only buffet and yet for most of the last twenty years you always had an à la carte option. However as I say, being as it was included in our rate, it worked out to be much more reasonable than that and therefore tolerable. Having said all that, we had yet another wonderful and relaxing stay in arguably one of the great grand hotels of the city with welcoming and friendly staff and now free (yes free!) WIFI in the rooms. I remember needing a mortgage the last time I tried to connect to WIFI in a room here.....

Had a fabulous afternoon tea. From the minute you walk in the hotel smells gorgeous and you feel welcome. The staff are friendly and the service throughout was amazing, so helpful. The sandwiches were traditional and very tasty and they were unlimited. The scones arrived warm with a choice of jam which is a lovely touch. Also more available if you have room. Plus delicate and gorgeous set of cakes. The tea was continually topped up and fresh supplied when cold. Overall this was an excellent experience and was really special for a birthday treat. Would 100% recommend.
