Very elegant place with good amenities. The rooms were ok but the prices for this hotel is very high. I enjoyed the coffee shop down stairs a lot and the restraunts looked great. The location is very good for this hotel

Arrival to departure was trouble free, informative, friendly staff, professional approach. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Central location. I was on crutches and had limited mobility, the staff were supportive and on hand as needed. I felt they cared about me.

It has become something of a tradition over the past few years for family and friends to celebrate my birthday at the Landmark Hotel where they have a successful champagne buffet every Sunday and, I understand, on some Saturdays as well. I have to report that it continues to improve, a verdict passed unanimously not only by ten adults but also two very well behaved twins. The champagne bottles are bottomless and the glass is rarely allowed to reach the dregs before it is refilled by willing and friendly staff from its 12.30 start to closing time at 3pm when coffee or tea is served for those who still have an ounce of room left after a buffet which goes from full English breakfast; through to a light lunch with a selection of sea food and salad with three Sunday roasts , plus the trimmings, crying out for attention. But the wise know that saving a little space is essential for the incredible array of desserts, topped off with a chocolate fountain. Truly spectacular. The only word of warning is to book well in advance because word has got about that this is the perfect venue for a celebration of any sort or just a lovely spot for a happy couple to spend a few memorable hours. There is no doubt whatsoever that I, the family and friends will be back, probably in increasing numbers.Expensive? Only if you don't like champagne and I mean champagne not cava or prosecco! Under Ā£100 per head to me is more than value for money.

Wasn't visiting here to stay, just a conference, but what a spectacular building. Quite breathtaking and so very well designed. Staff are plentiful and very helpful. Conference seemed to be well organised and very well attended. I must remind myself to check in when in that area in the future.

I love elegance and "traditional luxury" however I'm finding I'm more of a modern traveler these days. While I love the look of this hotel, especially the lobby, it's very grand, I believe it can use some updating. While I was there I was told they were renovating rooms. My room was quite comfortable, the size was excellent and the amenities are fair. I did however think the beds were a bit hard. This hotel is huge and a bit daunting to find your room. It's an entire city block. There are many elevators, it took me a few days to learn my way around. When trying to catch an uber you may have to walk around the back because they are easily confused on where to pick up passengers. There are cabs in the back of the hotel. The best part of this hotel is that is directly across from the train station so you can travel that way or catch a cab super fast. I love to walk and this hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. It's very centrally located. The food is just ok, I'm not a huge fan of the food overall in London and I didn't find many great choices on this menu. Dinner is better than lunch. The breakfast was ok. They have smoking rooms which you don't see much in the states. The smoking floors smelled like smoke but luckily the other floors did not smell like smoke. Overall I enjoyed my stayed, the staff was accommodating and helpful.
