Went here for my birthday breakfast and what a delight! Stunning interior attentive staff and lovely views over hyde park. The eggs royale were great. Only downside being my sisters breakfast had what appeared to be the bristles from the pastry brush in hers! The host took it away but then carried the same plate back after several minutes to tell us what it was. We explained that even though it was bristles it wasn't acceptable and that she couldn't be expected to carry on eating it. Finally the manger came along and offered us an alternative pastry selection from the breakfast buffet. I wouldn't expect that from a 5 star like the mandarin. But all in all a great breakfast would recommend

We checked in for a Saturday night stay - all I can say was it was great, the staff are so friendly, courteous and willing to help - nothing is too much trouble, breakfast was delicious. Had the afternoon tea on Sunday in celebration of my husband's birthday and it was fabulous. As much food as you could possibly eat and they even packed a little extra for our train trip home - a great weekend, thank you Mandarin Oriental

As a fan of this hotel for the many reasons I wrote about in my last review, I wanted to write an update about the renovations the hotel is undergoing. It is so beautiful! The reception areas are so warm and welcoming; and the modern comfortable updates give the feeling of bringing the beauty of Hyde Park inside. Absolutely fabulous accommodations, staff, and location. Can hardly wait to return.

Very old rooms. Not a Mandarin Oriental Hotel Standard. Should not be put on sale. They should be all renovated before being put on sale. I have been at Many Mandarin Oriental hotels and the one in London does not meet the minimum standards
