Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London

Check in was 'ok', although upon our arrival staff could have advised exactly where reception was located (we were left standing at the top of the stairs for 5 minutes wondering if we were at the correct 'desk'..), had to ask someone to point us in the right direction (reception located around the corner). Sunday breakfast not great, once seated it took half an hour to get a coffee but could of been longer as I went to find a staff member to inform 'i think we've been forgotten', and then our cooked food order was taken. The welcome fruit juice and water arrived as we were about to leave = Not great.. Then there was also a bit of confusion in the Spa. However, Justin Edwards dealt with the issue, which could have been easily avoided, quite professionally to find a resolution. The hotel staff polite and friendly though..

I want thanks all the front disk team starting from the outdoor people, Reception team plus the how’s keeping team and team of afternoon tea par, i am sure this never happened without successful top managment amazing leaders. Thanks to all hotel operation amazing people and well done

We attended a function at the ballroom in the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London. The ballroom was ultra classic in appearance and was a major factor in creating the right ambience for a memorable evening. Signature cocktail was memorable but hard pressed to identify all the ingredients. Food was of a high standard with lots of choices for both meat fish and vegetarians. Unfortunately the lighting was not very good and as a result the photos taken were not that great but will still post to give an impression of what we were given. As usual with Mandarin Oriental, I was so impressed with the consistency of the remarkable service offered by the staff here. From the doorman to the housekeeping staff at night for turn down service, everyone was friendly, professional and experts at making you feel welcome and special. There is simply no other hotel brand that does this as well as Mandarin Oriental. As a Silk member, I was upgraded to a lovely Hyde Park room. From there, I could admire the autumn colors and leafs from the window of my room overlooking the park. My welcome gifts were truly generous : two bottles of sparkling tea (very very tasty) and a few chocolates. The bathroom was nice and big. The room was quiet and really well appointed. Breakfast was amazing with a special note for the French toast with the apricot custard. I had a Recherche Biologique face scan and facial at the spa which was extremely relaxing and performed remarkably well. My experience was simply fantastic from start to finish. Thank you Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park! I look forward to coming back soon.

Lovely overnight stay for my son's birthday. Notable were Dinner by Heston, the service, the rooms and the Aubrey downstairs. Hotel itself is not a young building (slightly rambling, slow lifts) but it is well worth it.
