Reviews for ME London

Great hotel, wonderful staff, amazing base for seeing lots of London sights!

We stayed midweek for two nights here having previously stayed in August 2018. We couldn’t find fault with it all those years ago and had a similar experience again. The room was clean, the bed was very large and comfortable, air con was much needed and the room view down onto the street below is a huge bonus if you like to people watch. The rooms are surprisingly quiet given the busy street below and also dark despite the window having double frosted sliding style shutters. The hotel has quite an adult vibe, it’s dark, sexy, very chic!! The service is incredible, all our needs were met, requests dealt with, and Roman who took us to our room then also seen us off was wonderful. He couldn’t have been more helpful, very happy and welcoming person. We enjoyed our breakfast in Lucianos this year but we did enjoy it the last time in the rooftop with the more buffet style options that you can choose yourself. The location is the best thing about the hotel. You can see so so much of London on foot from here in every direction. We covered twelve miles and seen Buckingham palace, parliament and Big Ben, Westminster abbey, the Old Bailey and St Paul’s, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, St James Park, Covent Garden, Bloomsbury, The Royal Academy, The British Museum…..and so many more things on the way in between stopping back at the hotel to refresh and go again! The area outside has been pedestrianised since our last stay which added a great place to sit and rest our legs and people watch, lots of places to sit. It was good value for money for us. We paid extra for breakfast, for parking which is below ground and your car is taken and brought for you when you need it, they charged it for our return drive to Scotland which was greatly appreciated, and for a city view which adds a little on but we think it is worth it. The one and only thing I can really criticise is how low the toilet in the room is. If we were much older people or had back problems or were really tall people it would be an issue. Pretty sure we will be back in the future.

First of all what an amazing hotel Iv stayed at many different hotels around London this it’s by far one of the best places! Me& my girlfriend loved the vibe of the hotel & style through out. I had a few requests upon arrival and during they was met in every way. All staff was amazing we came in contact with Also loved the vibe of the young gentleman who greeted us at the reception desk and attended us to the room. id definitely recommended i appreciate the stay..

No, no, no!

Totally disappointed! However let’s start with the good. Comfortable bed, large room, great location and sound proofed rooms. Good sized closet and Bathroom. Comfy robes and towels. Concierge helpful. The bad: room not properly cleaned, bathroom sink did not drain properly, in room safe halfway broken so that it took two of us to open and close each time, elevator broken, no personal service at all, roof top bar was a complete disappointment due to service and extremely loud music. If we were not seated outside we would have left as could not hear a thing inside but the pulse of the music. Our server actually walked away while we were ordering, said she would be back, and never came back. No mention was made despite us telling the new person who came that we didn’t know if our order was put in or not. The vibe was snobby and elite and gave us a big ICK. The interior of the hotel is obviously going for a sleek, sexy vibe but it just felt like it was trying too hard. Gym was one level below ground, tiny and dark so we did not use. Lastly I don’t love being told we are getting a “city view” room when in fact you had to be standing up tall to see out of the window which was only covering the top part of the ceiling. Sitting at the little two person table there was no view. If this hotel had cost less I probably would not have given a below par review but it was deemed a high end spot and compared to other top notch 5 star hotels we have stayed in, it does not deserve the title.
