Perfect Location and Comfortable Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I stayed here as a solo traveler in December, and the location right along the Albert Embankment is fantastic—offering easy access to the South Bank, Vauxhall station, and wonderful views of the river. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable for a single occupant, providing a quiet retreat after a busy day out in the city. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were welcoming and professional throughout my stay. Would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting London for business or leisure.

Don’t bother with the upgrade

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Good hotel, but don’t waste your money upgrading to a river view Overall we had a decent stay at the Park Plaza London Riverbank, but there were a few frustrating issues that stopped it being anything more than 3 stars. We paid extra for a river-view room, which turned out to be a waste of money. A huge tree directly outside the window obscured the majority of the view. The room really should be advertised as having a restricted river view, as we certainly wouldn’t have paid the additional cost had we known beforehand. We also had repeated problems with our room key card constantly not working, meaning unnecessary trips to get it sorted. The hotel app wasn’t much better and failed to work properly on several occasions. For a hotel that relies quite heavily on the technology, the app simply isn’t fit for purpose when it’s this unreliable. On the positive side, the hotel itself is clean and comfortable, and the location on the Thames is excellent for exploring London. Unfortunately, when you’ve paid a premium for a particular room and don’t really receive what you expected, it leaves a disappointing impression. A good hotel, but I definitely wouldn’t pay extra for the river-view upgrade again.

Stay here if ypu dont have standards and take note of ALL reviews not just the "nice" ones

I read alot of reviews sadly after I had booked because it was booked very last minute. All i can say is definitely consoder the reviews, if there are other places available I would highly recommend staying somewhere else. From the minute we walked in the smell of "cheap" perfume was too much, too much so I started coughing as did my daughter. There was an issue with my card which turns out it wasnt actually my card it was the hotels issue and the lovely receptionist told me so as they often get that problem, this was after I had to ring my card supplier and was on hold for approx 20 mins. The room was filthy, there were no instructions on how to use anything in the room. The phone wasnt working neither was the light next to the bed or one of the electronic pads, dirty bed linen the list is endless. This room cost £1,092 for 2 nights absolute robbery. The concierge didnt help with our luggage and we weren't accompanied to the room even though you could see i had my hands full. Terrible service, oh and one more insult I asked the receptionist if she had given us a nice room given the inconvenience and I was told "oh yes its a lovely room and let me give you a free bottle of wine" the room was basice with one of the worst views I have ever had when I've stayed in London and the wine tasted like cheap vinegar. Ironically I was so grateful for the "free wine" 🤣🤣🤣
