Reviews for Plaza on the River, Club and Residence
First the location: if you are planning a few days in London sightseeing this has to be one of the better bases to choose. We had a two bedroom suite overlooking the Thames – to the right Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye; to the left lots of new developments including the new US embassy; straight ahead a broad river with lots of traffic. One block to the right what has to be one of the best convenience stores anywhere, right down to the warm croissants for breakfast and ripe seasonal berries in the fruit department (plus a lot more besides, including greetings cards). To the left, about 10 minutes’ walk away, Sainsbury and Waitrose mini supermarkets plus a tube station; two main line rail stations within half a mile or so with underground links. This was our go-to place in London until three or four years ago when a new place opened next to Tower Bridge (the Cheval Three Quays) offering more luxury at a lower price. That is now eye-wateringly expensive and so this year we returned and were not disappointed. The suites are spacious, well furnished and the views remarkable. There is a top quality pan-Asian restaurant on site. A pile of free breakfast pastries is laid out in the elevator lobby each day. Our suite came with a small cooktop and microwave as well as a large fridge plus cutlery, etc. Small niggles: there are not enough elevators to service the apartments at busy times (two, should have been three) and the soundproofing is not that good. We were there nine nights with noisy neighbours two or three of them. Nonetheless, it was a very satisfactory stay.

Great location - iconic views - great service . Have stayed over 200 nights over last 5 years on business - chose location for 25 wedding anniversary because I knew service would be perfect . The team didn't let me down

I stayed with my family at Plaza on the river during our holiday to the UK for 4 nights. Our stay was so delightful, rooms are so spacious and very modernly decorated. We loved the modern feel and high techs solutions throughout the room. The downside was the breakfast, we have only tried it once and we regretted it. For a 5 stars hotel and 21 GBP per person, you would expect a wide range of breakfast items, but the buffet was very limited and as usual, English breakfast only items. I honestly find it so hard to understand why London hotels are still insisting on serving only English breakfast food while they have tourists from all around the globes, I suggest they look at this issue and try and cater for tourists, residents have breakfast at homes not hotels.

Just want to share that this Hotel is fantastic - the 5 stars the hotel holds is well deserved. Myself, my partner and small dog [extra bonus the hotel is pet friendly] had a wonderful stay in one of the Suites with an excellent view over the River Thames. The Room Facilities were luxurious with a fabulously large bathroom, kitchen, dining and lounge area. There was also a great coffee machine and the room was cleaned to an exceptional standard. The Hotel is very well located - very close to all major attractions - Waterloo, London Eye, Boat Excursion points, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and all the famous Royal Gardens - so no need for any tube rides! The Hotel Bar and Restaurant are also exceptional. I would like to offer a big thank you to Gabriella Kolber [Front of House Manager] who was of great assistance to us for initially finding the perfect room and also a big thanks to Alejandro [Reception Staff] who offered us a great Welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble for any of our queries or requests. I often stay in Hotels for work and would definitely say this was the best Hotel I have ever stayed in and would recommend to all!
