Relaxing stay on the bank of the River Thames

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 14 hours ago

This hotel is in a peacefully part of London, overlooking the River Thames, in between Waterloo Station and Vauxhall. It was ideal for an Uber into Wimbledon for the Tennis Championships. The room was small but comfortable, very quiet for a good nights sleep. We weee upgraded to the Executive Lounge which is in the 12th Floor and actually has amazing views of the Houses of Parliament and is a good place for a buffet breakfast. In the afternoon they serve complimentary snacks and drinks, which included wine and Asahi beers plus others. The Asian style restaurant is also very good and on our last day, we enjoyed the business lunch for two which was superb and at £25 each, I thought it was great value for money. All in all a great stay and would recommend.

Perfumed smell in common space

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 16 hours ago

We stayed here on 10th and 11th July in Room 1245. The hotel is conveniently located about a 12–15 minute walk from Vauxhall Tube Station, even when carrying luggage. Our stay cost £736.50 for two adults and our 18-year-old daughter, including an extra bed. Check-in was smooth and efficient. No help offered for my lugggage .Throughout our stay the staff were polite, responsive, and quick to resolve issues. For example, when we reported that the TV remote control was not working, it was replaced almost immediately. After the concern when I returned and orderd towel via app they delivered it at 1 am after midnight I am impressed with this. The room itself was on the small side for three people with an extra bed, leaving limited space to move around comfortably. The hotel's décor is very dark throughout the common areas, lifts, and corridors, which may not appeal to everyone. In addition, there is quite a strong perfume scent in many areas of the hotel; guests with asthma or sensitivity to fragrances may find this challenging. Unfortunately, housekeeping standards could be improved. There was visible dust on the table in our room. Shower is very god walk in has both rain shower and hand shower with few a djustment in the hand shower The room was, however, quiet, allowing for a good night's sleep. Our particular room had no view, looking directly onto another building. Room service is available, and the hotel uses a convenient QR code system near the lifts for ordering food and drinks. However, my lunch order took longer than expected, and I eventually had to call to follow it up.But service is very quick when you phone to order the food. One of the highlights of the hotel is the leisure facilities. The swimming pool is fine not a big one , and I enjoyed a very good steam room and sauna. Do note that you need to book a swimming slot through the business centre located below reception before u use them. Breakfast was disappointing and did not meet expectations. The orange juice appeared watered down and lacked freshness. While made-to-order egg dishes such as fried eggs and omelettes are available, the quality was average rather than impressive. The standout item was the hash browns, which were excellent. Overall, this hotel has some positive aspects, particularly the helpful staff, quiet rooms, and good spa facilities. However, the small room size, cleanliness concerns, overpowering fragrance, and underwhelming breakfast prevent it from being a higher-rated stay. For these reasons, I would give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Extremely poor

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 20 hours ago

I recently stayed at the Park Plaza Riverbank and had an unsatisfactory experience. I did complain at the time but was simply told there was nothing that could be done. The issues included: Slow check-in with member of staff with limited English Walking to room after check-in and dirty pots and linen in corridors I paid for a room with 3 single beds - there was a double and a single sofa bed with no bed linen Carpet in room was soaking wet Couldn’t ring down to reception as phone didn’t work Had to walk down to reception to report bed situation. Was told someone would come and separate the double into 2 singles - nobody came in 1 hour. Went down again to report bed - staff attended and said bed couldn’t be separated Had to request bed linen and extra towel after paying for a triple room Dirty cups and no tea bags Shower head leaking everywhere and smell of drains Went down a third time to ask for triple room as paid for - staff checked with manager who said it was that room or nothing Was told tea bags would be brought up but they never arrived On checking out, the pots and glasses in the corridor from the previous day were still there. If a child had fallen on one of these dirty glasses, it could be a serious Health and Safety concern. I have stayed with Radisson before and had decent experiences. This was extremely unsatisfactory and there were other guests complaining at the same time. I was offered a free drink in the bar but it was already late and so was given a bag with a bottle of water and 2 cans of Coca Cola.

A Thames Side Gem in London

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

As a returning guest, I once again had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Every time I visit London, this is where I stay — and it never disappoints. The location right on the Thames is excellent, with Westminster and central London within easy reach. The rooms were spotless and comfortable as always, and the breakfast offered a wide and delicious selection every morning. I'd especially like to thank Mr. Erdal for his warm hospitality and attentive service, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Without a doubt, I'll be back on my next visit to London.

4 star hotel 5 star staff

Very good for the money. The staff were incredible and made the whole thing really perfect for purpose. Unbeknownst to many of them I was actually here in preparation for brain surgery so the fact they were all so attentive and the hotel was so good really made me feel at easy. But regardless of whether they knew why I was there it was the same great service from the moment I stepped in the door Really good price too for all this, one of the rare times I get to put 10/10 for would recommend to others
