Park Plaza London Riverbank

I just checked in and I was worried that it was such a big hotel, customer service would be affected. They did not disappoint. I told them be gentle with us because my daughter just lost her dad and I my husband. They sent me to an executive double with a sofa bed but I wanted a twin. I made my disabled self back down to the front desk and the associate said well that is what you ordered in a very self righteous way! Well if it was, why wasn’t the sofa bed made! They sent us to another room facing a wall and I guess expecting us to like it or lump it!

Friendly staff. Ok rooms. Good breakfast buffet. Good location. Good transportation nearby. Value for money! Many rooms have no or limited view due to neighborhood buildings.

The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers one of the best views over the Thames. The breakfast staff were friendly, although clearly quite stressed at times. In the evening, some staff seemed a bit forced in their politeness, while others were very attentive and genuinely welcoming. The pool requires booking time slots in advance, and unfortunately most of them were already fully booked when we arrived. The room interior felt a bit overwhelming, and elevator wait times could be quite long. Staying on the 13th floor, taking the stairs every time was not really a realistic option. Overall, the people working at the hotel were very kind, the location is top-notch, and the views are truly spectacular.
