The Ritz London

We visited the Secret Garden at The Ritz for drinks and dinner with friends. The setting is absolutely beautiful, and the food and wine were lovely, making it a very enjoyable evening at first. Unfortunately, the experience was completely spoiled by the presence of several mice walking around between the tables and among the guests throughout the evening. It was both surprising and very disappointing, especially at a venue with the reputation of The Ritz. What made the situation even more disappointing was the response we received when we mentioned it to our waitress and later to the manager. We were told that it is "normal in London" because the venue is next to Green Park, and at one point were even asked, "You live in London, what would you expect?" We found this response dismissive and far too accepting of a situation that should not be considered normal, particularly at a luxury hotel. We understand that being next to a park can present challenges, but we would expect a venue of this standard to manage the issue proactively and to respond with greater professionalism and empathy when guests raise a legitimate concern. It's a real shame because the venue, food, and drinks were all excellent. However, the mice—and even more so the manager's response—left us with a very disappointing impression that was simply not in keeping with The Ritz's reputation.

We visited the Secret Garden for the first time today and had the most wonderful time. The setting is just beautiful. We enjoyed champagne, the Mezze Platter which was delicious and plentiful, followed by the crab brioches, also lovely. We loved the music playing, but the icing on the cake was our waitress Vera. She really was fantastic and it was such a pleasure chatting to her. She remembered that we mentioned in passing when we sat down that we were there or a late birthday celebration and at the end of our meal brought my friend a little birthday cake which again was delicious. It really made my friends day. I am already booked again for August and can't wait to return.

We ate in the secret garden were told before we sat down a minimum of £75 each we were a group of 9 3 of us ate on one table 2 burgers and one taco the burgers came and the tacos 15 minutes later which was ridiculous as the tacos were a cold dish the table of 6 had 2 meals arrive and the other 4 20 minutes later absolutely ridiculous that a table cannot have all food together We then were given the bill before the 4 on the table of six had even been presented with their food I woul severely ask anyone to consider going here if you are more than a couple

I came here yesterday to celebrate my 35th birthday with my mum, I’ve been excited for months that we was able to get a reservation on my birthday but the whole experience from getting out of the taxi was truly fabulous, everyone was soo friendly and welcoming, and they were so lovely about accommodating my mum who has a dairy allergy and she was blown away by the choice, a massive thankyou to our waiter Brian your service and smile was truly wonderful but to the everyone you truly made it a memorable experience for me thankyou very much and hopefully will be returning soon.

There were six of us in our party — including an 11 and 15-year-old — and I’m confident if you asked any of us about our most favorite meal in London, it would be dinner at the Ritz. Not only was the food fantastic, but the restaurant was lovely and the service was utterly exceptional. They accommodated us without blinking when we requested an EXTRA Beef Wellington (boys have BIG appetites!) on top of the ones they ordered, and the Langoustine appetizer, amuse de Boucher and oh!! Those chocolate soufflés!! But wait — we had such fun, besides! We’ve eaten at many a Michelin star(s) restaurant where everyone talks in low murmurs and one never engages the staff, but this Ritz has BOTH the food AND the atmosphere down to making it a perfect evening.
