We have stayed at the Rosewood Hotel near Holborn at least a dozen times over the past few years. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite two months ago with our son. On this trip the service just fell apart. It is hard to stomach paying GBP 1,100 per night for 300sf of space, but we didn’t get turn down service both nights, and the first night the bell stand suggested we get a taxicab on our own instead of providing us assistance. Not easy with the World Cup taking up alot of attention in London.

Great hotel! Rooms were well decorated and large. The beds were extremely comfortable. I was traveling with my grandson and the hotel had a scavenger hunt for children that was lots of fun! You can walk to The British Museum and it is close to several theaters.

I had a really enjoyable stay at Rosewood London. I arrived quite late, and Lori checked me in very warmly. She explained the two breakfast locations, the hotel amenities and made the arrival feel smooth after a long travel day. The suite itself was beautiful. I especially loved the marble bathroom, with its bathtub and spacious marble shower with a marbly built-in bench. The staff throughout the stay were genuinely kind and helpful. Concierge Alex noticed me coughing in my suite from the hallway and kindly checked if I was okay, which I thought was very attentive. He was also always helpful with my questions and good for a late-night chat whenever I returned from my late night walks. Filippo was also very kind and professional at reception and made sure I had everything I needed during checkout. Tiffany made me feel especially welcome and really elevated the stay with her warmth and attentiveness. Breakfast was also very good. Atikul in the Holborn Dining Room and Tunde in the Mirror Room were both attentive and friendly. I can definitely recommend the pastries and the cloudy apple juice. The Mirror Room itself has a very unique and beautiful interior, and the marble staircase deserves an honourable mention too. The hotel has a charming old-money feel with its cobblestone courtyard, classic interiors and overall atmosphere. The location is very central, with Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square within walking distance, and useful shops like Sainsbury’s and Superdrug nearby. I did not use the spa or the terrace, although both looked nice. The terrace seemed like a lovely spot for drinks, BBQ or pizza, but who would have known, unfortunately it rained for most of my stay. There is no swimming pool, but if you stand outside long enough on an average London day, it has a similar effect. Scarfes Bar is also worth visiting for cocktail enthusiasts. I had a unique cocktail there, and I liked that many of the drinks seemed to have their own story or inspiration behind them. Overall, the whole team was kind and welcoming. The little touches, including the Hotel branded umbrellas and celebration sweets on the floors, added to the experience.
