I wasn’t going to write this review publicly, but given Rosewood didn’t respond to my feedback, I’ll present this here. I was not happy with our stay from the moment we checked in. We were immediately thrown off guard by the doormen out front asking us if we were "sure we had a reservation" when we walked up... we felt very unwelcomed. That transpired to the check-in process when the individual checking us in took a very long time. We were celebrating our Engagement- and not that we were looking for anything special from the staff or hotel- but all we received was "oh cool congrats" during the check-in. Our room wasn't very clean, with dust by the nightstand and lampshade in the bathroom. Cleaning services woke us up at 9am both mornings, and didn't even put the toilet paper back onto the holder- they left it on the sink! They also failed to provide adequate soap, shampoo, and conditioner for two people. Our lights in the closet would constantly flicker as well. The staff within the hotel were also very rude and standoffish. I, as the guest, would have to initiate a smile or a "good morning" or "hello", as they would not acknowledge me first; as the guest, I should not have to teach the staff of a "5 Star Hotel" how to act. Another upsetting event was when you decided to open the hotel to filming one evening, without any given notice to the guests that they would be disturbed. Staff, once again, was very rude when we were abruptly ordered to "move" to the other door. We briefly chatted with the film crew sharing a laugh, when a hotel staff member in a suit immediately blocked us off and barricaded the door; again, no greeting, no smile, just swiftly cold and rude. The last straw was when we were checking out; I walked up to the counter, every employee with their head down, when one woman glared. Clearly, with my jacket on and suitcases in hand, l am checking out; but to the glaring woman, it was not obvious- she said "what do you want". Taken back, I respectfully said "hi, I am checking out. May you please assist with the process?". She coldly responded "room number?", then said she will charge the card on file and email the receipt. There was no "hello", no "how was your stay with us", no "any transportation you may need", and certainly no "thank you for choosing to stay with us". There are plenty of hotels in London that are much cheaper, more accommodating, and would be happy for me to stay there. We chose the Rosewood given it's global influence, recognition, and hospitality, but we were unfortunately just seen as a wallet. We were very disappointed with our stay.

Front desk manager Filippo is second to none. He is very kind and trust worthy with great sense of hospitality. Therefore I extended my stay from four nights to eight nights as I felt very comfortable staying here like home with friends and family. Butler Calo is very internationally experienced and insightful. He understands my need without my explanation like quiet luxury. Butler Jeffrey is super sincere, kind, passionate and empathetic, humble and respectful.

I stayed here for two nights. Absolutely beautiful Hotel on the inside and out. Everyone at the front desk was very attentive. The Concierge was absolutely amazing. He gave me tips on doing sightseeing and suggested I go on the Big Bus Tour and it was great. Walking around the area of the Hotel there are plenty of Shops and Restaurants. I used Google maps so l always had directions back to the Hotel. I had an English breakfast at Holborn Dining Room and it was delicious. The room was beautiful, comfortable and quiet. There is nothing negative I could say about this Hotel. I highly recommend staying here.

The people at this hotel are fantastic. Service was impeccable from the doorman, to reception, to the concierge, to housekeeping, to the drivers and at the bars and restaurants. That made our stay. On the other hand, the hotel is tired and the rooms left something to be desired. While our room was large, it was really dark and in need of a refresh. The same could be said for the common spaces. It felt more like a business hotel than a tourist hotel. Have stated at many Rosewoods and was definitely disappointed in this one.
