You might still spot politicians enjoying a reprieve from Parliament at The Royal Horseguards. It began life as The National Liberal Club in 1884 and was commandeered by the Ministry of Defense during both world wars to headquarter the M15 and M16, Britain's secret intelligence organizations. After undergoing a full renovation in 2008, sparkling chandeliers and contemporary accents join the oil paintings and rich red and gold furnishings that still retain the air of Westminster.

Great location easy walking distance to everything, staff are outstanding, customer service great, rooms are outdated & very poor quality for the price, housekeeping is questionable & hotel hallways have disgusting pungent odor.

Fabulous venue for lunch. The tomahawk steak for two with sides and dessert was sublime. Great quality, perfectly cooked and presented with a bottle of high quality Malbec to accompany the meal. Head waiter Gonsalo went the extra mile with his dedicated service. Will rebook.

Delicious afternoon tea in incredible surroundings. The service was impeccable and despite me being fussy they were great at finding a bread alternative. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon.

The Royal Horseguards Hotel provides impeccable luxury accommodations in a location convenient for exploring West End theatre. Service is friendly and professional. When you wish to dine in, the Hotel restaurant serves excellent dishes at reasonable prices. My special shout out to Jungha, Kate, Maria, and Vanessa for their kind and attentive food service!
