You might still spot politicians enjoying a reprieve from Parliament at The Royal Horseguards. It began life as The National Liberal Club in 1884 and was commandeered by the Ministry of Defense during both world wars to headquarter the M15 and M16, Britain's secret intelligence organizations. After undergoing a full renovation in 2008, sparkling chandeliers and contemporary accents join the oil paintings and rich red and gold furnishings that still retain the air of Westminster.

Excellent location, a 2 minute walk from Embankment tube station with taxis outside. Friendly and courteous staff. An old historical hotel with class and comfort.

Javier give us a tour of this historic hotel, and it was absolutely fascinating! His knowledge of the hotel and its history was quite impressive. And Javier was so charming and so enjoyable. It made our stay extra special.

Iconic Hotel in the heart of westminster with about 20 mins walk to all famous landmarks. Good Breakfast , polite and well trained staff , especially the porters and concierge. Reception can get a bit busy at peak times. Go for the 30 meter square rooms if you can as the smaller rooms seem very small. Nice terrace bar . Wi fi is good - the TVs could do with upgrading to provide netflix etc. Generally very clean and presentable but some cosmetic attention needed in places.

We loved our stay at the Royal Horseguards! The location was amazing....it's in a quiet and beautiful area, but it's extremely close to many popular areas. And the Tube station is right next door, so it's very easy to get around. We had great service from everyone at the hotel, especially Pervez. It was always nice to get a greeting from him whether we were coming or going. If you stay here, make sure to learn about the amazing history of the building and ask a staff member for a quick tour.

The Royal HorseGuards hotel continues to exceed expectations. We love the hotel, location and staff. Breakfast is a fantastic way to start the day here before heading out. We were concerned with the heat in London this week however the air conditioning at the hotel was delightful. The best part about our trip was the Chico at concierge desk. He was absolutely amazing. Friendly, helpful and made Recommendations we really enjoyed. .
