You might still spot politicians enjoying a reprieve from Parliament at The Royal Horseguards. It began life as The National Liberal Club in 1884 and was commandeered by the Ministry of Defense during both world wars to headquarter the M15 and M16, Britain's secret intelligence organizations. After undergoing a full renovation in 2008, sparkling chandeliers and contemporary accents join the oil paintings and rich red and gold furnishings that still retain the air of Westminster.

I recently stayed here for 3 nights on a trip to England from the US. It was awesome and the best hotel of our trip. If I went back to London I would go back here immediately. It is conveniently located and has everything you need. Doorman Parvez made us feel so welcome and was kind and helpful always. Emily and Mahi on the front desk went out of their way to make out stay memorable. Our room had a river view and it was beautiful and bigger than most I have stayed in in Europe. We are big fans!

The RH is the best location for a first time trip to London. The hotel is very historic itself. It is so convenient to the sites, the Embankment tube station as well as Charing Cross and easily walkable to many landmarks. The staff is fantastic. Our rooms were very comfortable. We had one room with a queen bed and it was quite large with a large bathroom. Our other room had two twins and was huge even by US standards. It had two twins, two chairs, a very large desk and large bathroom. It was perfect for our family of 4 (2 teens). The snacks that were given to us each day were very welcomed and appreciated as we often walked about 10-13 miles per day. Will definitely return.

V nice hotel for our 1 day stay. Pre Wimbledon. The room was large on 2nd floor but a disabled access room with not much view. Great TV to watch the England game on. Excellent buffet and good breakfast service.
