You might still spot politicians enjoying a reprieve from Parliament at The Royal Horseguards. It began life as The National Liberal Club in 1884 and was commandeered by the Ministry of Defense during both world wars to headquarter the M15 and M16, Britain's secret intelligence organizations. After undergoing a full renovation in 2008, sparkling chandeliers and contemporary accents join the oil paintings and rich red and gold furnishings that still retain the air of Westminster.

We had a truly wonderful experience. The building itself is stunning- an elegant historic property that looks like a palace from the outside. The reception staff were absolutely exceptional friendly, professional and helpful. They really made us feel welcome. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Every day we enjoyed complimentary in room amenities including still and sparkling water, cola, chocolate, tea and coffee with biscuits, which were a lovely touch and made our stay even more comfortable. The location is simply amazing, right in the heart of the city and within walking distance of all the major attractions. Overall a superb stay. We would definitely recommend everyone visiting London to choose this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Horseguards Hotel. We would definitely stay there again. I do have 2 suggestions. 1. Please get USB Ports for all rooms. And the TV should have a few apps co pre loaded on the room TV so people can use them easily…. Netflix and Prime Video. The hotel was really great otherwise!!! Thank you to all the really great friendly, helpful employees!!!

If your looking for luxury and exceptional service this is your hotel in London. Conveniently located near major tourist attractions and the subway, this hotel offers a top-notch experience. Just a heads-up, river view rooms come at a premium and may not be the best value. The king rooms are spacious, and the service from the staff is truly outstanding.

Problems at check-in owing to computer system that couldn't handle adjoining reservations, despite having emailed in advance and been told it wouldn't be a problem if I pointed it out at check-in. Turned out to be a 20-30 minute problem, with one of the reception staff informing me in a rather condescending tone that I had two reservations--as if I were unaware and had not informed them upon arrival. Room showing signs of wear but was clean and well-equipped. Ample breakfast in pleasant surroundings, but the restaurant ceiling began to leak significantly in several places during breakfast on our last day.... Despite these issues, we would consider staying there again due to the excellent location and the genuinely helpful attitude of all staff other than the one gentleman at reception.
