You might still spot politicians enjoying a reprieve from Parliament at The Royal Horseguards. It began life as The National Liberal Club in 1884 and was commandeered by the Ministry of Defense during both world wars to headquarter the M15 and M16, Britain's secret intelligence organizations. After undergoing a full renovation in 2008, sparkling chandeliers and contemporary accents join the oil paintings and rich red and gold furnishings that still retain the air of Westminster.

We were both pleasantly pleased with the excellent service provided by both Asa and Jungha during our dinner in the terrace tonight. This has been our 4th night in the hotel which we both have thoroughly enjoyed and will recommend to our friends.

Can be a bit better customer service/care. Despite of promise at the very last moment i was refused and was forced to leave the room. Even more was forced to pay for that hour.

The staff are fantastic and very friendly and welcoming. Halfway through my stay however the tv stopped working. It would turn on but just presented a black screen. Also part of one of the taps in the shower kept falling off. The sink had a large crack in it. In addition one of the sheets had a red stain on it, which I’m hoping was makeup. I paid over £300 for one night’s stay so expect basic things like that not to be an issue in what I consider to be an upmarket hotel.

Only hotel on our stay not to refund for a medical emergency. I don’t stay at hotels without heart

Absolutely beautiful experience from start to finish. The setting is gorgeous — elegant, warm and intimate, with a lovely garden atmosphere that makes the whole evening feel really special. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, and everything felt carefully thought through. A special mention to Asa, who looked after us so well. She was warm, attentive and professional, and made us feel genuinely welcome without ever being intrusive. It’s the kind of place where you don’t just come for the food — you come for the whole experience. Beautiful surroundings, great service, lovely drinks and a wonderful atmosphere. I would happily come back and definitely recommend it.
