You might still spot politicians enjoying a reprieve from Parliament at The Royal Horseguards. It began life as The National Liberal Club in 1884 and was commandeered by the Ministry of Defense during both world wars to headquarter the M15 and M16, Britain's secret intelligence organizations. After undergoing a full renovation in 2008, sparkling chandeliers and contemporary accents join the oil paintings and rich red and gold furnishings that still retain the air of Westminster.

I came here with my boyfriend for the afternoon tea. It was delicious, I totally recommend it, we had a great afternoon with amazing desserts and pastries, the tea was also really good, there are different flavors. Looking forward to coming back on out next trip to London

Great value for money. Great service. A lovely comfortable afternoon. Lots of beautiful food. Fresh ingredients and flavours. The waitresses were very happy and accommodating.. there’s nothing nicer than a smile. Dilnoza was lovely. Thank you.

I've been going to the Royal Horseguards Hotel for over 20 years. Despite the glowing reviews here, the hotel has definitely lost some of its lustre. The RHG was renovated in 2008--a beautiful result and I was there shortly afterward. Unfortunately, it appears since then only the minimum has been done to keep the quality and maintenance up to par. The lobby furniture is worn and torn, the carpets dirty, the room--while very clean--the furniture was in poor condition, the wall paint heavily marked and damaged, the window woodwork weather rotted, and overall musty. In essence, the room was mediocre. On the positive side, the staff is very helpful and responsive, the bar (Equus) is still very nice, and the hotel location is excellent. RHG is not inexpensive, and for the price a more inviting quality environment should be offered.

Amazing location, decent room and excellent service. A very special thanks to Amine and Monalisa for their kindness and efficiency - they were extremely helpful during my short stay at the Royal Horseguards.
