About the Hotel
The Rubens at the Palace is the closest you'll get to a sleepover with the Queen without a state visit invitation. The hotel is directly across from the royal residence on property that enjoys a colorful past – the Duke of Buckingham lived here in the 1600s, followed by an apothecary and a Court dressmaker. The Rubens, which was built in 1912, housed the Polish army during WWII and gave respite to exiled Charles de Gaulle. The hotel's decadent – and often equally colorful – rooms and suites are a comfortable home base in the epicenter of London.

Excellent hotel stay.
Excellent old school hotel. Customer service absolutely amazing. JT & Pascal made our stay such a joy. The only issue was eating in the bar late night. Ordered sesame chicken and the kitchen accidentally made butter chicken. It was wonderful but not what I originally ordered. I was then charged for the butter chicken when I should have been charged for the original sesame chicken order. It was not mistake.

Excellent place to stay in London
My family and I had a wonderful stay here. Very friendly and accommodating staff, and excellent service. Very welcoming atmosphere, and the hotel is nicely decorated. Great location for sightseeing, as it was fairly close to Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, etc. Room was very tidy upon arrival. Had no issues with noise. This hotel is on the pricier end, but it is well worth it. Breakfast was delicious. The Friday pub crawl with Charlie and Leo was a lot of fun and one of the highlights of our stay. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in London.

Special place where you feel welcome!
The location and atmosphere were spot on for us. The hotel 🏨 s beautiful! Charlie and Leo were a bonus to our stay. Their 5:00 pm Pub Tour was so much fun and they gave us so much history of the area. Charlie has a charming personality and Leo is a gentleman.

If you’re looking for a charming, elegant hotel with outstanding staff the Rubens is it. The food was delicious and the afternoon tea was a delight. We’ll be back if we’re in London again!

The Rubens Pub Crawl
On Sept. 18 we attended a Pub Crawl starting at the Rubens and traveling to a couple of old English pubs, the crawl was hosted by Adam Seaward and one of his associates by the name of Angus. We had a brilliant time. Adam and Angus both enriched the experience and made the evening a wonderful memory. Anyone staying at the Rubens not taking advantage of the pub crawl will have missed a chance to enjoy a true institution of English history. The ‘English Pub’.

I just returned from an amazing 6 nights at The Rubens. My trip was for business and at the last minute, I had to bring my baby along. This worried me greatly, but thanks to the wonderful staff of the hotel, my week went off without a hitch. The staff couldn't have been any kinder, more helpful, or professional. From the moment we arrived, special attention was paid to the baby and any assistance I needed. There is no doubt that I will be returning to this hotel. It has won a special place in my heart.

Our package at the Rubens at the Palace let my mother and me live like a queen. From the flowers in the room, the beautiful suite, the daily high tea, the staff - everything was a deluxe vacation opportunity. My previous vacations to London pale in comparison to this experience.

I can't say enough about the amazing service at the hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful whenever we had questions or needed help. The concierge was wonderful and went out of his way to come check on us and see how our day our was turning out. It made us feel very welcome and almost like family! The room was very comfortable, the food in the bar was great, service was amazing. We'll stay here again!
