We were hosting a birthday party in the Savoy Grill and took the opportunity to treat ourselves to a night in the Hotel Absolutely could not fault the experience: simply perfect. Every single member of staff was kind, considerate and attentive. We really felt like the actors & movie stars whose photos & portraits adorn the walls. The room was incredible. Thick carpets, huge space and the most amazing beds we have ever slept in. Best night's sleep ever. Communication between the Hotel & the Grill was excellent allowing us to put everything on one bill in the morning. A special highlight was the breakfast - if there is a single criticism it is that there needed to be much, much more of that delicious back pudding. I cannot think of a better way to have celebrated my 50th birthday

This was my third visit to the Savoy over the last five years and every visit has been superb. This last visit was no exception. Any visitor here will be impressed by the ornate public spaces and the lovely guest rooms. It's a stunning symphony of Art Deco and Edwardian design. However, the service here is even more impressive than the beautiful interior design. During my last trips, the service was always excellent. I always marveled at how could maintain such an atmosphere of exclusivity while being so warm and non-stuffy. This time, we explored the limits of that service with our expanded family with a young child. I am pleased to say that the staff graciously met the challenges of our highly demanding requirements. I wish to thank all of you for the warm and caring consideration. Everyone was amazing including the front doorman, the bell staff, the front desk, the concierge and the housekeeping. When we required assistance, someone was always there to help very quickly and efficiently. By the way, I am pleased to say that housekeeping was much improved from my first visit in 2012 and my recent stay. The restaurants were very good, once again. I am curious to try their monthly retro dinner/dances that I saw advertised but that will have to wait until next time. Our departure like our arrival, was warm, gracious and efficient. I left this hotel as a highly satisfied customer and with more wonderful memories. I will return again for sure!

Fabulous.! A very grand hotel, but we were welcomed so kindly, and simply had a glorious three night stay. We got an upgrade to an amazing suite overlooking the river, and gardens. I could have happily sat at the window looking at the view the entire time! I have to mention the Concierge service, which was outstanding. Thank you Jamie. The downside was the a la carte breakfast rather than a buffet (which we prefer). We didn't actually eat at the hotel other than breakfast. The upside was the fabulous warm swimming pool which all 6 of us enjoyed. The other downside was the famous bar. We arrived back from Le Gavroche in a very favourable mood. We then had to queue - as residents - for 20 mins to get a seat. We were recommended certain cocktails by the waitress. They were awful and we sent them back. The atmosphere was non existent. Brittle and loud. The pianist had gone home.

We checked in to the Savoy for 5 day stay. The reception desk was very pleasant and accommodating, the walk to the blue elevator to go to our floor was a bit amusing as it was almost like a maze, but we not ones got lost :). the morning coffee and wake up call was always pleasant. unfortunately we didn't spend enough time in the hotel beyond to just sleep, but overall it was a very pleasant and relaxing stay i would highly recommend. Out of all Fairmonts we stayed their In room dinning was quick and accurate.

We spent a few days here over Easter. We arrived earlier than expected so whilst our room wasn't ready, we checked in and the staff member promised to call us when the room was finished. We went off for lunch in China Town and duly received the promised call a couple of hours later. We'd requested an Art Deco room and were not disappointed. We had a lovely room with a side view but also with a view out over the entrance canopy and the gold statue of Count Peter of Savoy. As always, the room was very good and the bed was super comfortable. We had a small entrance vestibule and the door into the room was curved which was quirky. We spent an hour or so in the American Bar and whilst the brand new cocktail menu was not really "up our street" we had a lovely waiter who kindly loaned us a binder containing copies of all the photographs on show along with the names of the stars in them. This was a really nice touch that came about after we asked if he knew who one particular actor was. It was strange that we were told about the Savoy Grill being independent of the hotel. We knew this but it was as if we were being forewarned. Later that day, we did indeed dine in the Grill and it will go down as our worst ever dining experience and we shall not go back. Still that's an aside to this review, which is about The Savoy Hotel. All the staff members that we engaged with during our stay were excellent and we're looking forward to when we can next take up residence.
