The service at this hotel was extraordinary and impeccable. Upon arrival Jayne, a guest relations executive, welcomed us so warmly, and our entire several day stay was perfect! The room was so comfortable. The food was delicious. The service was perfection. We had our son’s first birthday here and they treated him like a king! I cannot say enough good things about this perfect hotel. I highly recommend it!!

I threatened to not leave the property I was so in love with the hotel and the people. I was cautious of the hype I had heard from friends because no hotel ever lives up to it but I was proven wrong. If you can stay just one night in this hotel you will not regret it. When you turn the corner off of The Strand you get this view of the hotel that lets you know you're in for a treat. You pull up in your car and the most gracious doorman helps you out, asks if you're checking in and for your name. As you're getting out of the car he is already communicating with the front desk of your arrival. When you gather your luggage and gather your wits there is member of The Savoy, greeting you by name, and escorting you into the hotel to be checked in. It doesn't end there. This is no run of the mill check in. You are taken into a room where you are checked in and taken through what The Savoy has to offer. Then the same person that has checked you in also escorts you to your room. Our room was on the third floor and had plenty of space for the two of us. The bed was enormous and comfortable. There was a large wardrobe to put all of our clothes away. There were 4 sections where two were for hanging items and the other two with drawers. The bathroom is what you picture a fancy english bathroom to look like. Lot's of marble, shower has an amazing rain shower head, warming towel rack and plenty of space to unpack your toiletries. Girls - they have Babyliss blowdryers. Leave your blowdryer at home. So our first night at the hotel was going great however I was sick and was desperate for sleep. We were getting some noise from a party and I was having a hard time tuning it out. I got in contact with the front desk to see if they knew when the party was going to end, was this going to be a nightly occurrence and if so, could we move to a different room that would be quieter. The hotel immediately sent security to find out where the noise was coming from, informed us that it was being turned down and then offered to move us to a higher floor which would be quieter. We ended up taking them up on the offer and I never looked back. I don't know what I did to hit the karma lottery but O. M. G. The front desk and porters came up to help move our belongings to the new room. When we got to the new room it ended up being a suite that left me speechless. I was going to be happy with a quieter room but they upgraded us to a suite. That came with a butler. I couldn't bring myself to utilize the butler service beyond a few basic requests but man, you can get spoiled real quick. Our told me they can do basically anything as long as it's legal. Where do you even go with that??? The bathroom in this suite had heated floors. My husband was going to have to drag me out of this suite. I was not leaving peacefully. My suggestions to anyone staying at The Savoy are as follows: 1) Make your reservation for high tea in the Thames Foyer as soon as you know you're going as slots can fill up. I am not a fan of tea and I'm a convert. I even bought the Vanilla Black Tea from the shop to bring home. 2) Get drinks at the American Bar. The atmosphere and the drinks rightfully put this bar at #1 in the world. 3) Stay at this hotel. I have never stayed at a hotel where I have felt more valued. Everyone addresses you by name, they are so professional and friendly and it's all going down in this incredible property. When we checked out, also the most civilized process ever, I told them I will never be able to stay at another hotel in London. All hotels we stay at from now on will always be compared back to The Savoy.

My wife and I had the good fortune to stay at The Savoy for seven nights. This has become our home away from home when in London. From the moment we arrive and the doormen acknowledge us by name we are greeted very specially. The doormen are always helpful with arranging our taxis and trying to keep us dry. They are always cheerful and helpful. The Concierge personnel are amazing. We have learned to reach out to them way before arriving. They arranged our pick up from the airport, and return to airport. They booked four different shows, always getting the seats in the best row and center. They made countless inquiries and then reservations at restaurants for us. It is way beyond a full time job keeping up with all our needs, let alone a hotel full of other people’s needs. Dean Maddison and Jamie Modowall and Toru Machida and Greg( I am sorry I cannot remember his last name) and Jose Almeida were all great. Dean and Jamie kept trying to get us our reservation for the dinner dance. They were certainly influential in getting Athina Panagiotaki to find room for us. It turned out to be the highlight of our stay. We asked the Concierge to help with packages for us to be delivered to our room. Thank you to all the Concierge people for a terrific job. A special thank you to Athina Panagiotaki , you are a very special professional that really knows how to make your guests, the guests of The Savoy feel very special. The housekeeping staff took really good care of us. We made quite a mess which they took care of each day. The Butler service which I found out came with the upgrade to the Jr. Deluxe suite, came in handy each day. What a treat! Jonathan who checked us in helped us by showing us to each of four options. We made the final selection and glad we did. I sure hope I have not left out thanking someone. We did eat in the restaurants which I posted on TA separately. I would like to especially thank Ian Kidd the Hotel Manger because he should be very proud of the job his people are doing making us guests feel very special. It is his leadership that they follow. Thank you Ian Kidd. Last I would like Mr Kidd to consider having the staff wear name tags. As I get older I realise my memory is fading. That would help me remember their names. Thanks Savoy!!!!

A short stay, so didnt try everything available. American Bar has some great cocktails and breakfast on the sofa was very luxurious. Surprised that the in-room offerings were very 'ordinary' but significantly more expensive than other hotels and just outside the lobby doors. Given the room-rate, surprised these items are not given for free.

The hotel is ideally located for the West End, the staff friendly, the concierge knowledgeable and the valet parking staff excellent making the process delightfully easy. I would recommend both bars, the Baufort for the food and entertainment and the American bar for the pianist. Both places have staff that exceed ones expectations making the experience inclusive rather than exclusive.
