located in central London just next to St James tube and surrounded by the palace, Westminster and several historical places and modern walks and shopping, this is the best place where you stay. unlike some hotels in England, the people here are helpful and very courteous, they reply to your emails and try to make your stay comfortable. its the best place to park yourself and walk around the nice parts of London. however, the breakfast has to improve, as the choice of food not really good.if you want something more like a small omelet, you pay an extra 9 pounds for it.but one can manage and the overall decor, cozy atmosphere and the friendly people make me want to come back for another trip.

Went for afternoon tea which was absolutely amazing the staff were warm friendly and attentive and the quality of the food was exceptional. We stayed overnight in a suite which was truly wonderful. Spacious quiet comfortable fully equipped and extremely luxurious . Highly recommend this hotel. Food service and accommodation all faultless. A luxurious and wonderful stay.

The hotel is charming and beautiful. I love the front porch, and the gorgeous lobby. The rooms are nicely organized, and decorated. The bathrooms are very spacious (I was able to comb my hair, while the children brushed their teeth without being crowded). My only issue with the hotel was the early close to children, which we found happens a lot in London. I understand for some restaurants, but if you are registered in the hotel, and cannot have dinner after 8:00 in the restaurant it is a annoying. Besides that, the staff was great, and I would happily stay there again. The hotel was very close to the St. James metro station, and Westminster Abbey. We walked to the London Eye, and Buckingham Palace.

This is a hotel with so much history and lovely feel and location. The concierge and the reception were excellent. The house keeping needs to get its act together. They actually did what we asked for but they needed to be reminded. We said we drink a lot of water and give us more bottles and the no of bottles kept reducing every day. The rooms should have a bell which comes in handy when u are staying with kids. We had booked 2 double rooms and since there were no interconnected rooms and the room with 2 beds and 2 bathrooms had no privacy we chose to stay in the junior suite. The sofa bed was flimsy and not expected when we stay in a hotel of this class. The toilet also could be bigger. Other than this a very nice location and place. The breakfast at Caxton grill was the same all 4 days. We are vegetarians and there was no hot breakfast option. The chef did a grilled veggie platter for us and that was our hot breakfast for all the days. We were not charged for this but the second and third day we were asked to sign a cheque and we had to repeat ourselves that since there was no hot breakfast item the chef was doing this complimentary. The croissants there were amazing. Overall a great place to stay. Very expensive though.

What a pleasant surprise, thought this would be an average hotel given the reasonable price but it exceeded expectations on all fronts. Can’t recommend It enough, even the central location could not be better.
