We stayed for a theatre trip but it was also my birthday weekend. We had a wonderful time the hotel was great. Lovely room, very comfortable with a large bed. No noise so a good nights sleep. All the staff were very helpful and diner and breakfast was really good. We will be staying again TIP: if you are driving in the next few months there are road closures in the area but you can still drive right up to the front of the hotel A big thanks to all the staff for making our stay wonderful

This hotel is beautiful, but I had two big disappointments last week: 1. When I checked in the front desk person didn't mention that there would be major construction and jackhammering going on right outside my window (I was on the 3rd floor, so *literally* right outside my window) starting at 7:30 am every morning, and 2. There was no communication whatsoever from the hotel staff that on my departure day the street in front of the hotel would be completely closed. I had to drag two large suitcases a block away to another hotel to meet my Uber driver. If you stay here, be proactive and ask about any inconveniences you should expect during your stay; otherwise you'll have to find out the hard way like I did.

We picked St. Ermin's as we were using Marriott points as the hotel itself is rather pricey. The location is perfect as we were able to walk to many of the sightseeing spots such as House of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. It is also within walking distance to St. James Park, Changing of the Horse Guard and Buckingham Palace where you can catch Changing of the Guard.

Stayed at St. Ermin's for 7 nights in one of their guest rooms with a queen bed. The hotel was beautiful as were the other Autograph hotel that I've stayed in before. Location was perfect. Right around the corner from the St. James tube station and walking distance to Buckingham Palace. Although check-in wasn't until the afternoon we were able to check in around noon which was very nice. Stayed on the top floor (6) and although the view from the room wasn't anything special the rest of the experience made up for that. One thing I will say is that the bathroom doors were pretty loud when you try to close them so you can here the neighboring room from time to time. Conveniently located close to 2 Starbucks and a Pret and then this hotel also has a restaurant (although we did not dine there). Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and return for another stay on my next trip to London.

I checked into this hotel for two nights for an impromptu solo trip to London. I was incredibly pleased with the location of the hotel. I took the Heathrow Express from LHR to Paddington Station and then walked from there which was a pleasant (45 minute) walk although I'd recommend a taxi/uber if you're not looking to get some exercise. My primary gripe was with not being able to check into the hotel upon arrival. With my Marriott status I nearly always am offered a room at whatever time I check in especially if I let the hotel know what time I will be arriving, which I did (10 am). The man at the front desk said that the room was not yet available but they were in the process of cleaning it and would prioritize it and let me know once it was complete. That to me is acceptable. I went back to the desk about 2 hours after to check on the room and the woman said "guests can't check in until 3pm." That bothered me a bit. I decided to get breakfast and coffee while I continued to wait. The hotel didn't offer up any vouchers and in fact the restaurant reminded me that my free breakfast doesn't start until tomorrow. That was also annoying. The good - the hotel is beautiful, bed - very comfortable after a long day of walking around the city. The bad - no recognition of Marriott status. No attempt of an upgrade. Restaurant food is so-so at best. I'd suggest staying here if you don't have Marriott Status but elsewhere if you're hoping for an upgrade or special treatment. It's hard to beat the character or quintessential old British charm this hotel has though. Worth a stop in for tea even if it isn't your "home base" while in London.
