Reviews for St. Ermin's Hotel

What a wonderful place.

I had an outstanding stay at St. Ermin's Hotel and would happily return on my next visit to London. The hotel's location is one of its greatest strengths. Nestled on a quiet street in Westminster, it's just a short walk to St. James's Park Underground station, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and many other iconic attractions. Despite being so centrally located, the hotel provides a peaceful retreat from the busy city. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help with directions, recommendations, and any requests we had throughout our stay. Their hospitality truly elevated the experience. The manager in the restaurant was amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, blending historic elegance with modern comfort. The stunning lobby, grand staircases, and charming courtyard create a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed. While London hotel rooms tend to be smaller than those in the U.S., the space was thoughtfully designed and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast each morning offered an excellent selection of both traditional English and continental options, making it a great way to start a day of sightseeing. The happy hour each day was very nice with drinks and staff circulating with Hors d’oeuvres. Overall, St. Ermin's exceeded my expectations with its exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and unbeatable location. If you're looking for a hotel that combines classic London charm with modern amenities, this is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it and look forward to staying here again on my next trip to London.

Counting The Days Until The Next Stay

After uncounted stays at St Ermin’s, they never disappoint. This stay was fabulous, as always. The staff always make us feel that we are family returning home. From Steven and Stelios, who greet us on arrival, to Frank, Ramos, Maira, Winnie, and the entire restaurant and bar staff, they are to a person warm and friendly. Rooms are always comfortable and clean. The location makes St Ermin’s a hidden gem, close to Westminster, Victoria, the Palace, and St James’s Park, but tucked quietly away from the hustle and bustle. We look forward to the next visit each time we walk the door.

A Charming Oasis in the Heart of London

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

My teen daughter and I stayed at St. Ermin's for 4 nights during our recent trip abroad. The hotel is absolutely charming, with beautiful historic character that's been thoughtfully updated without losing its elegance. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed not only by the hotel's design but by the outstanding customer service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, professional and genuinely helpful. Our room was spacious, spotless and surprisingly quiet, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—making it the perfect place to recharge after long days of sightseeing. The bathroom was on the smaller side, which is fairly typical for a historic London hotel, but it was well designed and offered plenty of counter space for toiletries. We visited during London's heatwave, and coming back to the cool, comfortable hotel each afternoon was a welcome escape. The location is fantastic. Although it's tucked away on a quiet street, you're only about a five-minute walk from Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the Churchill War Rooms, St. James's Park and the St. James's Park Underground station. It truly feels like you're in the heart of London while still enjoying a peaceful setting. There are several restaurants and pubs in the area too. The hotel also offers several thoughtful touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. We enjoyed the complimentary evening wine hour each night, which featured a very generous pour plus light appetizers and provided a great opportunity to relax before heading out for dinner. The hotel also offered live entertainment during our stay, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. We had dinner at the Caxton Grill, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent, the service was prompt, and the fish and chips were outstanding—definitely order them if you have the chance! We've stayed in many hotels over the years, and St. Ermin's is one we'll happily return to. If you're looking for a hotel with charm, exceptional service, a wonderful location and a relaxing atmosphere, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing place to spend the evening with your special ones!

Special thanks to Mark Douglas (Restaurant Manager) and his amazing team for delivering such a wonderful experience for me and my wife. We had our delicious dinner at St. Ermin's just before attending a theatre show. The dinner was really well presented and worth the money. Most importantly the staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable. Mark definitely knows how to engage with the customers and make them feel happy. Thank you for the complimentary champagne guys. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. You really need to try this place out to believe it. Thanks again to Mark and the team, you guys are an asset for this corporation. You definitely know how to make people feel special...
