Rude Concierge

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I have stayed at the ST Ermins hotel many times over the years & recommend the hotel to work colleagues & friends but no more I had an unfortunate situation with the concierge 'Gary' who was very rude & sarcastic towards me while trying to book as usual a car to the airport. He asked £40 more than the going rate which he offered to another guest that i spoke too half an hour later, when i asked why the difference he looked liked a rabbit in the headlights & couldn't answer & left the desk saying he was busy & maybe i should try a cheaper hotel if i can't afford it ,how dare he talk to a regular guest like that, i could also smell alcohol on him too at 11.30 am! Needless to say i wont be returning, a very upsetting experience for me

Wonderful experience staying at the St. Ermin's.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at the St. Ermin's this past weekend. The hotel is located at a very prime location, steps away from St. James's Park, Westminster and the major landmarks. It's very well maintained and very stylish. The staff, from frontdesk to concierge, Caxton and the Tea Lounge were wonderful, very friendly, responsive and helpful. We celebrated our anniversary there and was treated with a special arrangement which my wife loved a lot. She kept commenting how nice the room is and how comfortable the bed is every morning.

St. Ermin’s Hotel is best in class! We had a fabulous time. It hits on all levels: great service, clean and comfortable room, good bar/food, great location (10 mins to Buckingham Palace or 10 minutes the other way to Parliament), and beautiful, charming architecture and atmosphere. Nice amenities like a robe, and an assortment of coffee and tea, including fresh milk when requested. I will definitely return here, and it’s possible this is now my favorite hotel in London due to its convenience, comfort, elegance and very helpful and polite staff.
