Great location (5 minutes or less from Westminster abbey, 2 minutes to st James underground station); 5 star staff; Fabulous restaurant; Really very comfortable; Very romantic. The room was very comfortable and the social rooms were too. Breakfast was delicious... there wasn't great variety but certainly great quality, which is much more important. An experience to repeat!

This is rated as a 4 star hotel and it is well deserved. Highly recommended. Our check in was easy and the room was spotless. The concierge staff were especially helpful and we used them several times. The lifts (elevators) were quick to respond every time. The ambiance both in the hotel and all the wonderful landscaping is very alluring. The location could not be better. We were just blocks from the St James Park underground station as well Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. Why stay in other parts of London when you can be close by to so much? The area was very quiet except for some construction nearby. In fact, I've never seen so much construction going on in one city at the same time as we did here. The only "complaint" we could come up with is that like most hotels these days, they no longer have tubs to accommodate a nice long bath. Also while the ceiling rain shower head is nice, sometimes one likes to take a shower without getting their hair wet. The on site restaurant is well, comme si comme ca. I am struggling to write this review because it is a very lovely hotel in a great location. Our room was gorgeous but we found out the next morning as we rushed to get ready, our hot water in the shower did not work. The staff came up and worked on it and gave us a key for another room in the mean time. They said that afternoon that it was fixed. We trusted them and once again, in a rush the next morning due to a tour, no hot water. Again, they came to our room to fix it. I had to ask again for a key to a room with a working shower. The serviceman let me in, I showered and then left the door cracked for my husband. The serviceman told my husband that he fixed our shower and left. We turned the shower on... NO HOT WATER. He went to the room that I had showered and they had locked it. So, my husband had to take a cold shower and we had to spend $70 on a room service breakfast as we had no time to stop and eat before our tour. They then said that they would have another room available for us later that afternoon. We arrived back to the hotel at about 9 pm and asked for the key to our new room. The man at the front desk rudely said "if you would have packed your things, they would have been moved". We were never asked to pack our things and didn't assume that they would move our belongings for us. And besides, due to the plumbing issues, we had no time! The next morning upon checkout I asked numerous times that they comp our breakfast as we would have never ordered room service. Finally, they agreed. We still have a $200 charge on our card that they have not yet refunded.

St. Ermin's has a beautiful lobby and entrance that are designed to feel old, but clean and nicely refurbished. The rooms are small, but perfect for a nice shower and sleep. The area is close walking distance to shopping, shops and restaurants, transportation, etc. We enjoyed walking the area nearby, which included Buckingham Palace and Westminster cathedral!

Everything about our stay was wonderful and top notch! From check in (we got there early and our room was not quite ready but they stored our bags, suggested some things to do locally and told us they would let us know when it was ready). Our room was so cute, I loved the style and comfort. I even took pictures of the bathroom cause we are planning to re-do ours and I love the sleek design. It was so wonderful having our own bath rooms and slippers, all the little touches really made this feel luxury versus just another hotel stay. Everyone was super attentive and ready to help as needed. We even dinned in at the restaurant one night and that was a wonderful experience (though a touch pricey if you are on a tight budget), but we enjoy a nice meal when traveling! I loved that the hotel has its own garden and honey bees (check out the Bee Terrace--its very cool). Anyway, my husband and I both decided we would be returning for sure! I cannot say enough good things, the location was amazing--you could walk to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Parliament, just about anywhere and if you needed help with the Underground (metro to all you Americans), they are more than willing with a map and transfer directions. A+++ Cannot wait to return.
