Reviews for The Stafford London

Stellar service, location, and people

The hotel is perfectly located and offers excellent facilities. The staff were exceptional- warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to the wonderful doorman, Sergio from Ukraine, who shared a fascinating (though lengthy!) story about Nancy Wake. We were truly impressed. He was also extremely helpful with taxi arrangements, and it was a pleasure to speak with him and to learn about the rich history of The Stafford. A truly delightful hotel that I would happily recommend to everyone.

Stay away from restaurant

We have been to the Stafford twice now. Both times the restaurant was horrible. Impossible to get even a cup of coffee and if you want a full meal be prepared to wait multiple hours. It is total chaos. Rooms are quite nice and area is fantastic but don’t eat here.

Country house feel in the bustle of London

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The Stafford Hotel was superb. It's like staying at a fine country house that just happens to be set up to receive lots of company. It's in a very busy part of London -- close to Piccadilly Circus, Green Park, Regent Street and its stunning Christmas lights, and many of the West End theaters -- but it is on a side street and is extremely quiet and peaceful. The staff are marvelous: highly competent while also being genuinely welcoming and cordial. The offerings in the American Bar, especially late night after theater, are tasty. Do try the Amphora Negroni, if you are so inclined -- quite an interesting preparation. It is expensive, but treat yourself. It's worth it.

Relaxing happy stay.

An oasis of calm in a bustling city. It is a real treat to spend a weekend at The Stafford, tucked away in St.James’s. It is central to the heart of London, walking distance to shops, restaurants & theatres. It feels like home - happy, friendly helpful staff do everything to make your stay as cosy and comfortable as you want it to be - whether it is cocktails in the bar or just a good old english cuppa by the fire.

It's all about the staff at The Stafford! My favorite hotel in London and probably in the world! If you can't stay there stop by the bar...not to be missed. Look it up when you're there.

My cousin and I had the most fabulous trip! The Stafford London was the most perfect, wonderful hotel, and we could not be any happier!

The staff was amazing, and yes, please let Alan and Nick know how much they helped us, as this was my very first trip to London!

We so appreciated the perks, and enjoyed the wine in our room!
