The Stafford London

The Stafford Hotel St James Place London is a beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. Every once and a while it's nice to indulge yourself in some quality accommodation and truly wonderful service! The staff are professional very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is served at your table by really charming staff dressed in immaculate uniforms. The room 605 with roof top views across London with the London Eye as a backdrop was large and as expected very comfortable for our two night stay.. And late evening drinks and cocktails in the American restaurant - bar after a magnificent Cirque du Soleil performance at the Royal Albert Hall was a fitting end to a fantastic day. So! If you close your eyes and hold your breath whilst checking the final invoice on check out.. just think 🤔 did I enjoy staying at the Stafford Hotel was it worth it.... my answer is definitely a big yes! Exceptional service provided by management and his team. Room space, comfort and layout met our needs. Room was very quiet and with a pretty view of the city. Another highlight of our stay is the American bar with great service. food and beverage . We quite like staying in St James , Mayfair. Their Christmas eve Carol signing in the wine caller. a personal touch to guests travelling away from home.

The location, charm, and authenticity of the place, not to mention the availability and discretion of the staff, allowed us to enjoy a pleasant family stay.

I booked afternoon tea at The Stafford Hotel to celebrate my friend’s 50th birthday, following a recommendation. The afternoon tea arrived and the sandwiches were lovely. However, after finishing them, no one returned to ask if we would like more. We eventually had to request additional tea and sandwiches. While the tea arrived promptly, our empty plate was cleared and we then waited nearly 30 minutes for the sandwiches to arrive, by which time the tea had gone cold. We continued with the scones and pastries, which were fine, and shortly afterwards our table was cleared. I had hoped there might be some small acknowledgement of my friend’s birthday, but unfortunately there was none. Overall, the experience felt underwhelming and disappointing, particularly given the occasion and the hotel’s reputation. We have visited many five-star hotels in London where the service and attention to detail have been consistently exceptional, and sadly this did not match those experiences.

A beautiful hotel and well-positioned with excellent staff, comfy rooms and a great bar. We have visited for many years.
