Hotel Ziggy Los Angeles

A delightful place to stay and a great location. Staff were uniformly lovely, cheerful, and helpful. 2 free margaritas per guest every afternoon between 3p and 4p and they generously make sure you have two if you want two. Pool is a nice size for cooling off, and the courtyard patio is such a nice place to relax. It’s a non-smoking hotel (yay!) and several times people were smoking at the pool. The front desk staff asked them to stop. Despite being “warned” about having a performance space and live music, never heard a thing once in the room. Reasonable distance to Universal Studios, Farmers Market, and Sunset Strip. Quite close to the Hollywood Bowl and Griffith Observatory. Lots of little places to eat and drink in walking distance. Would absolutely stay here again!

It’s a cute little hotel that’s about it. It’s old, my room had a leak from the AC that kept me up all night. It got some of my stuff wet and I wasn’t offered any compensation besides a waiving of the absolutely ridiculous daily resort fee. Charging a resort fee at a place where you have to give them a 24 hour notice if you want Your room cleaned is insane. Their fix? putting a bucket under it, That’s it, one that I had to empty throughout the night while I was trying to sleep. They tried to fluff up the comp by saying oh we’re also taking care of your two $70 valet charges when it should’ve only been one on the first day that I got dropped off. Then they said well either way, you don’t have to pay for it and didn’t offer anything else. Regardless, all those options were not enough. My total of the stay was over $1500 for 3 days of bad sleep and moist clothes. Now they did offer to move me to a smaller room or to a room right next to the pool where they had loud DJ’s playing all day long. And even if I did move, I wouldn’t have been charged less. So i just had to deal with it.

Great atmosphere, a large and spotless room, and no noise at all, even though there were music events nearby. The location was perfect, within easy reach of all the attractions we wanted to visit. We really enjoyed our stay!

I stayed for one night—beautiful place, lovely people, a prime location, and great music the whole time. An excellent place; I hope to return soon. Kim, thank you for your kindness and warm attention.

Location is great, staff was responsive and polite. Room was clean and the noise was not as bad as other reviews may lead you to believe (although I bet some rooms closer to the music could be louder). We had a room that opened onto the pool, so we couldn't really hear music from the main floor when there was a live show. We were also out late each night, so wasn't a problem. Free margaritas by the pool (actually good margs, not out of a can or anything) was a great way to kick off the evening!
