Reviews for Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort
My wife and I traveled with our 1.5 year old son to the Hilton Los Cabos for 4 nights in mid-January, staying in a La Vista Club Premier One-Bedroom Suite. Overall, the trip surpassed our expectations. We had an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay, and we won’t hesitate to stay at this property again in the future. We think this hotel provided tremendous value for the price. What we liked: Beautiful property. The entire property is recently renovated with tasteful, good quality furnishings and no deferred maintenance. The furnishings, restaurants and common areas feel more like an independent boutique hotel than a Hilton hotel. Everything from the dramatic main entrance with its large fountain to the beautiful pool area looks and feels high quality. Excellent Service. Nearly everyone we interacted with was warm, engaging and friendly. We’ve never encountered such genuinely friendly people at a hotel of this size. We especially liked all of the wait staff, including at breakfast, at the high-end Velos restaurant, and at the pool. Great Room. We really liked our one-bedroom suite (room 6019), which included a generous living/dining room with a full-size table for 4 and a comfortable sofa, a nice bedroom with a very comfortable bed and separate circular loveseat, a full guest bath in the living room with shower, and a really nice master bath with dual sinks, toilet room, large tub and separate shower. We had our little guy’s crib in the bedroom, so it was a game changer for us to be able to use the living room and full guest bath after he went to sleep without disturbing him. The suite was really comfortable and enjoyable. Very Good Food. We really liked nearly all the food we ate on property. Our dinner at Velos was the overall best dinner we had while in Cabo - food was very good, but the service was way better than what we experienced during the dinners at Las Ventanas and at Palmilla on this trip. The breakfast buffet is really solid with an assortment of hot and cold food that had enough variety to keep us interested for 4 days. We enjoyed lots of fish tacos, ceviche, seared tuna and guacamole throughout the day at the pool and other restaurants. Uncrowded Feel. Even though the hotel was well occupied during our stay, we never had to wait in any lines or wait for seats. The breakfast room never felt crowded, and there were always available lounge chairs by the pool or overlooking the ocean. Minor Gripes: Balcony Lights. There is architectural lighting on the top two floors of the building that are controlled by the building. The La Vista Club rooms at the top of the building have wood shutters on the windows (not full curtains). It is impossible to completely block the balcony lights with the shutters, thus allowing light to glow in the room. This kept our baby up one night. It’s clearly enough of a problem that maintenance came to our room the next day to tape custom wood discs over the lights on our balcony so they wouldn’t disturb us (I can’t imagine the hotel would have these custom discs for any other reason than this). The lights should simply be shut off - the property looks just fine without them. La Vista Club. After four days, I’m still unsure of the value of the club. There is a private lounge off the lobby for La Vista Club rooms, but there’s very little offered in the lounge - seems like it exists just so the hotel can say they have a club room. Every evening they offer a different appetizer, but there’s only ever one type of appetizer - they should add a little more variety to the offerings. Also, the private La Vista area by the pool is overrated - Astrid, the pool butler is nice, but there’s friendly wait staff available anywhere you sit at the pool or at the beach. The free guacamole and small free cup of beer that’s passed out at 1pm every day in the private area seems to be the only real benefit that you don’t get for free if you sit anywhere else. Also, there seemed to be some amenities that other La Vista Club members got in their rooms that we did not get, such as a beach bag and a tequila amenity on arrival. Hilton Honors Gold members get free continental breakfast in a non La Vista room (gets upgraded to the full hot breakfast buffet if in a La Vista room), but I don’t think the breakfast benefit justifies the normal price premium for a La Vista room. Check-out. I was surprised to see that the front desk had somehow attached someone else’s credit card authorization to our reservation. As I checked out, I was asked if the bill should be settled to the master card on file.....I thought to myself that we don’t have a master card, so I asked to see the authorization that was stapled to our paperwork. Suzanne Turner (whom I’ve never met) will be glad that I didn’t let the hotel charge our entire stay to her card. Good reminder that it’s always important to look over the bill and credit card info at any hotel.

I booked this trip last minute and got a great deal here. Didn't really research the place but it looked nice enough. Went with my wife and we both loved the place. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Both pools are fantastic, the service was top notch, room was great, and the lobby bar is awesome. The beach is nice and relaxing with a great swimming area. Will definitely go back!

We visited the Hilton for a girl’s getaway in January 2018. The food and service were excellent. The daily breakfast buffet has a wide variety of fresh items and the omelet station was exceptional. All the staff were friendly and provided very good service. The pool area is beautiful and the bar service was very good. Our rooms were clean and nice and the ocean views were stunning.

We love the Hilton. We’ve been here many times and are never disappointed. Amazing location halfway between San Jose and San Lucas. Easy transportation either direction or stay put as the on site restaurants are great.

We had a great time at this Hilton. The staff and then property were excellent. The entire hotel was spotless and well cared for. Every effort was made to keep the hotel clean and they succeeded. bellman on arrival to the front desk agents, housekeeping, servers in the restaurants, all made us feel welcome and genuinely appreciated us being at their hotel. The food is exceptional in all outlets including the banquet department and the banquet staff was very accommodating as well. At the infinity pool, the service was especially good. Enrique Franck was outstanding in all aspects. He was very attentive without being overbearing, and ensured that we always had what we needed. He seemed to fly to us on the other side of the pool whenever we were in need of something. Enrique also shared his local knowledge with us as to the attractions we should not miss. He was a great ambassador for the hotel and local area.
