Fess Parker Wine Country Inn in Los Olivos, California

Fess Parker Wine Country Inn & Spa – a Preferred Boutique property, part of the Preferred Hotel Group – started as the vision of a Hollywood actor whose characters loved the wilderness: Fess Parker was better known as Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone on television in the 1950s and ’60s. When he set out to buy a vineyard in Santa Barbara wine country, it quickly became a family affair. Now his son Eli and granddaughter Tessa Marie have vineyards on more than 700 acres of land, and guests staying at the inn enjoy prime access to this fertile section of California countryside.

Saddle up for a private horseback ride through Fess Parker’s ranch and vineyards. After your ride, enjoy a cold glass of Chardonnay and a gourmet, organic picnic lunch served in a beautifully restored rustic barn. Meander through the quaint town of Los Olivos, stopping to browse local art galleries. Dine on grilled swordfish in latholemono sauce.

Rooms were great, front desk amazing and thoughtful. Fess Parker wine tasting lots of fun. We would return and stay at the hotel. Only complaint was the restaurant service was slow and food was average at best. While we appreciated the dinner service waiting until we arrived at 845p. We were served burnt burgers that we had to peel the charcoal burnt outer layer off.

It was an amazin stay, relaxing. Going to the vineyards and coming back in the evening to dine in the hotel or just across the street. Perfect for a short stay! Looking forward to coming back soon in august

If I could change or say anything about this place it would be the location of the Bear & Star. I would have the people who come for breakfast lunch or dinner sit out back in the lovely quiet space you have created but not in the front out on the noisy street. This area in front should be for heavy appetizers and drinks or for people who do not mine dinning in a very casual bar type atmosphere. Your food is to good for this type of ambiance and should be changed.

Beautiful and relaxing is the overall mood here. We were worried about the fires, but it did not affect our visit. Service as always was great, the food at the bear and star was also very good. Our time there was great.

Thank you for the nice sty. I suggest you promote that the pool is salt water and tell your employees that! Great for floating and NO chlorine smell! Yeah! Very nice staff! Comfortable bed, wish you had an elevator.
