Fess Parker Wine Country Inn in Los Olivos, California

Fess Parker Wine Country Inn & Spa – a Preferred Boutique property, part of the Preferred Hotel Group – started as the vision of a Hollywood actor whose characters loved the wilderness: Fess Parker was better known as Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone on television in the 1950s and ’60s. When he set out to buy a vineyard in Santa Barbara wine country, it quickly became a family affair. Now his son Eli and granddaughter Tessa Marie have vineyards on more than 700 acres of land, and guests staying at the inn enjoy prime access to this fertile section of California countryside.

Saddle up for a private horseback ride through Fess Parker’s ranch and vineyards. After your ride, enjoy a cold glass of Chardonnay and a gourmet, organic picnic lunch served in a beautifully restored rustic barn. Meander through the quaint town of Los Olivos, stopping to browse local art galleries. Dine on grilled swordfish in latholemono sauce.

beautiful, comfortable room. Great linens and robe was lush! A little noisy by the road but still had a good nights sleep. Restaurant menu was limited but still had a great meal. need more interesting vegetarian options. Light snack menu needs to have lighter options.

I loved everything about this property...the ambience, the restaurant, the most comfortable bed, top notch service, the relaxing pool, and the location (in town). I feel like I am a discerning traveler with high standards and this property only impressed me. I will absolutely return.

We love to stay at your inn. The staff is great, and the rooms clean and tastefully fully decorated with great amenities. The Bear and Starr is a real treat and we always eat our meals on site. Lovely!

We enjoyed our stay with the Fess Parker Inn. The Epiphany Suite is tastefully appointed and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and go out of their way for your stay. The Bear and Star breakfast each morning was delicious and we enjoyed an excellent couples deep tissue massage. We recommend the Fess Parker to anyone.

I stayed at the Fess Parker Inn with a group of women for a mellow "girls trip" and wine tasting. Our dinner at their new restaurant was fantastic. I ordered the Tri-Tip and it was prepared perfectly. In the morning, their breakfast selection was comprehensive and delicious. The service was a tad slow, but bearable because of the scenery. The service at the pool is non existent but we did not lounge there too long. However, the concierge team was so accommodating and hospitable that I sent a thank you card upon my return home.
