Excellent Stay Clean room. Very helpful staff. Good food at the restaurant. Could have used a bartender at the pool or cocktail by the pool. A little awkward entering the restaurant in pool attire to order drinks. . .

Spent 5 nights in this lovely place. It was a beautifully designed boutique hotel sitting on the hill side a few minutes drive from the downtown. Slightly remote location gives the whole property a peaceful environment. All rooms are surrounding a beautiful courtyard with dinning terrace and swimming pool. Lush greens, oriental landscape and blooming flowers are embracing every corner of the place. Chilling out on the king size beds next to the pool after swimming became the daily routine during my stay. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The premium room is way too big for one person to stay. Bed is very comfortable and pillows are the best I’ve every had. Each room have a terrace facing the courtyard and the pool. Staffs are friendly and helpful. They were really trying hard to meet all the requirements you may have. It was also a pleasure to chat with the waiters at the restaurant and to know more about the life of local Laos and Luang Prabang young people. The manager is a nice humble guy constantly looking after the place in person. You can feel the tone was set up that in this place you were taken good care of by these people here. Lastly I have to mention the SPA at the top level of the hotel. Wensy was the masseur I fell in love with. Her massage released all the stress in my body and mind before and during my travel. I went 4 times within my 5 days stay for her treatment. If you stay here, the SPA is a must try.

There is much to like about this hotel but there are also a few things which detract from making a stay truely enjoyable. The things we liked included; The reception staff who were very accomodating in any request we made of them including a late checkout. The hotel offers a free shuttle service into town, if staff are available, and they always were. They also have a pickup service from town in the evening at set times. The elevated position of the hotel provides a nice outlook and a sunset that is stunning. We had friends staying closer to town who explain that they had no view of the sunset or outlook of any sort. The rooms were comfortable and the pool welcomed in the heat. The things that detracted; The restaurant was a poor. The ate in the restaurant at breakfast and for one meal and found the food in town of a much better quality. The breakfast selection is ordered off a menu with pastries and cereals available at a table, so what looks like a small selection is actually quite adequate. However if it is on the menu I'd expect them to be able to cook it. Not so with the eggs benedict, I tried this on two occasions and the restaurant was not able to poach an egg or prepare hollendaise source. Similarly, when we ordered an evening meal in the restaurant I ordered three BBQ skewers of different meets, something you see the locals preparing in the streets all over the Luang Prabang, smelling delicious. What was delivered was chicken beaten flat and cooked in a pan, not on BBQ, and no sign of the other meats or a skewer. The second issue was a rooster on a neighbouring property. We are not late risers and generally sleep soundly, but to be woken at 4 am every morning was very frustrating.
