Kiridara is a nice hotel with 25 well decorated rooms. The rooms are well equiped spacious and the beds are very comfortable. One thing i really thought the rooms lacked was sound insulation. You can almost literally hear the neighbours conversations and when the come home it is as if they unlock your door. The rooster next door woke us up at around 3:30 am. The location is good about 2 km from the citycenter. The free shutllebus will bring you there every hour(and pick you up) or its a 5-10 min ride on the free hotelbikes. The pool is small but has a fantastic view on the mountains and the sunbeds are great. The food is good but i think overpriced(16$ for a cheeseburger) double of what you pay in a restaurant in town. The staff is supersuperfriendly and helpfull where needed. Our compliments!!! Would we stay here again?definately. We will just bring our earplugs and buy the rooster from the neighbour and relocate it

The private Vila is nice and very spacious but certainly not five star very very very overpriced. It has a lovely view but there is no wardrobes and shower doesn’t drain well. It’s quite a distance from the hotel which leaves you reliant on hotel tuktuks if you want to use the pool, which are often slow to arrive. There’s a mosquito problem and food and drinks at the hotel are extremely expensive by local standards. One morning they completely forgot my husbands breakfast! The villa has its own security guard which sounds like a bonus except he sat on the fence casually smoking, defeating the purpose of a ‘private’ villa! Day trips arranged by the hotel are outrageously priced. Luang Prabang is a wonderful place to visit but unfortunately the villa was a huge disappoint given the cost. Next time I’d look for something with more character in town and hopefully less mosquitoes!

4 middle age friends stayed here this week. We all thought it was an excellent choice. We liked being outside the hustle and bustle, with a general sense of serenity, amazing views from the pool and from some of our rooms. The hotel provided transport into town pretty flexibly, or it was a very quick $3 tuk tuk ride back for us. We also made use of their free bikes several times too go into town, including when we went to the alms procession. My room (306) was huge, with a comfortable bed, big bath tub (which was not in other rooms) , nice outside sitting area, and separate couch. We LOVED the breakfast. The reception staff was nice, spoke English well enough. and arranged a couple of outings for us that went well (especially enjoyed the boat ride up to the caves.) Had dinner there once when we were too spent to go back into town, and the food was very good, albeit on the pricey side for the area. The only downside for some people is that the price you pay for the great view and removed feeling is having to walk steps. So if that's an issue for you, this isn't the right place. Also, I'd like the management to pay more attention to having someone offer drinks to people in the pool area. it was spotty when we were there, though unfailingly nice and responsive when asked. All in all, we felt very good about our stay here and would highly recommend it.

Our stay has been very comfortable here though the hotel is located a little outside of town (it's an easy 30min walk) there is a complimentary hotel shuttle to/from city center at fixed times. The rooms are located in the hillside , so be prepared to climb a few steps. The rooms are beautifully decorated and there's a lot of wood , a bathtub in deluxe rooms, a flat TV. In the morning you have a great choice for breakfast including eggs or pancakes. I can only recommend this hotel and would stay there again. A little more sunbeds around the sunny area of the pool would be a plus during the afternoon hours when guests are returning from their visits.
