The hotel is easy to find and around the hotel or in the own parking you will find enough spaces to park you car. Once entered in the lobby you will get warmly welcome by the Sofitel reception team! The check-in was professional and our room was directly accessible. We were lucky we got a corner room on the front side of the building with an amazing view on the city and the Rhône . The room was very clean and luxurious ! In the morning you can enjoy your breakfast on the top floor of the hotel with another great view on Lyon. The buffet is well dressed with a huge choice of food and drinks. The service team was outstanding, very friendly, professional and helpful, they helped us to have a great start in the day. This hotel can only be recommended, not the cheapest one in Lyon, but may be the best one one Lyon!

Brilliant location by the Rhone. Staff are very attentive and the breakfast was great. The rooms, however, are very outdated and tired (but very clean), the one we stayed in was definitely not 5 star standard

The public areas of the hotel are good and the view from the bar is superb. Staff were helpful and the location is great. Worth taking the breakfast as excellent. The rooms are a bit tired and need decorating at the very least. Our bed was very good but too bit for the room as you couldn't open the wardrobe door properly!

What an absolute disgrace! Carpets so old, bad smelling, paint falling off walls, bed torn to pieces - ruin your day by sleeping in a bed on that hotel, that is if you get some sleep - the most non isolated hotel i’ve ever Been. You Can hear Everything. I regret that I didnt document how bad this hotel is - took only two pictures which you can see below. Food is so bad too. This is not even near a 5 star experience - before going there please read reviews, dont waste your money here. Front deal “manager” is an absolute joke too, arrogant and Think hes the center of the Universe.

I am lucky enough to travel a lot ! Spent 4 nights here in June. Let’s start with the positives. We arrived very early at the hotel around 1030, I cannot praise the check in staff enough . The gentleman we dealt with , could not have been more professional and we had access to our room immediately. Additionally he insisted that someone accompanied us to our room to explain the blinds. He was not wrong! The public spaces , restaurant and bar were refurbished and are fantastic. However the suite itself is incredibly tired. On the plus side the bed , as at all Sofitels is amazing & comes with full pillow menu. The towels and toiletries are also first class. The breakfast is very good and again staff are charming. On the one hand if the rooms are refurbished they will charge double . However I think the time has come to splash the cash Sofitel . Our suite could not described as five star see photos . Loved our stay , it is about time your hotel reflected your staff, Final shout out to bar on eighth floor , best Hugo Spritz and Old Fashioned ever x
