Edison is a 10! Fantastic communication. Was there for us on arrival and so attentive throughout our stay. Night manager and staff were wonderful and came in clutch when we had a medical emergency. Larry and the other bartenders were great. Quiet hotel away from the bustle but just a short walk from the action. Food was nice - breakfast great! Comfortable beds! Would stay here again. Recommend to anyone.

Gateway to Machu Picchu

The staff at the Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel was excellent and very attentive to the traveler wandering about in the hotel lobby. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The best feature is it's proximity to the shuttle busses going to the entrance of Machu Picchu.

Perfect Hotel in Perfect Location

Absolutely fantastic hotel!!! Location of the hotel is perfect right at the base of Machu Pichu overlooking the river. They met us at the train station and walked us and our bags to the hotel. Reception was great and they offered us a welcome drink upon arrival. EVERYONE that worked at the hotel was extremely gracious and helpful. Our room was five star appointed overlooking the roaring river. This hotel really stands out for its incredible Peruvian food and service. All the wait staff was extremely knowledgable about the food and wine they serve. I would highly recommend staying in Aquas Callientes when visiting Machu Pichu. And the best place to stay is Sumaq.

I had an amazing experience at SUMAQ. The hotel is gorgeous, and the location is just perfect. Food was spectacular, and the service was excellent. Special shoutout to the bartender Larry, who made me the best Coca Sour I've ever had (a must try!) Highly recommend!

Last Minute Trip to Machu Picchu

Staff was very helpful and hotel was nice. It has been nicely updated and well put together. It is a great deal for what is offered. The other nice hotels are way over priced for something that is less than that of here. I highly recommend this place
