Almost magical afternoon tea
We visited Reid's Palace again after 9 years to enjoy the afternoon tea. This was, once again, a fantastic experience in any department. This time we sat on the terrace with fantastic view of Funchal, the sun was shining so everything was great. The waiters were out of this world. I congratulate them for the professional way they served us. The sandwiches, scones, chocolate and the tea, of course, were very, very good. As soon as we travel again to Madeira, stay assure, that we will be visiting this place once again. Lovely experience!

Perfect location

Fabulous - Traditional Hotel with lots if history
We stayed here for 10 nights. We were blown away when we saw our room. The ceiling was more than twice my height with large French doors leading out to a furnished balcony that over looked the beautiful botanical gardens and sea beyond - absolutely stunning. The room was traditional and the bathroom was too, with beautiful marble to walls and floor. Breakfast was relaxed with a good choice of cooked food (made fresh to order), fabulous buffet offering, including exotic fruits, champagne etc. Great swimming pools, heated to perfection. All staff were friendly and helpful. The whole experience at Reid’s was fabulous. Such an iconic hotel steeped in history.

Wonderful stay
From the moment you step into this truly magnificent hotel, you feel special. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Facilities are excellent, all very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It manages to keep its past history without looking dated. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. Thank you for an excellent holiday.

An extraordinary value! Reid's Palace Hotel is a handsome historic property featuring breathtaking water views, exotic gardens, a full range of amenities and delicious and varied food options. We found the staff to be very helpful and dedicated to making our 4-day stay with them a holiday in every sense. We appreciated the extra attention the staff paid to getting us in and out of the airport, circumventing the crowds and shortening our travel and wait times. This is Luxury Link at its best.
