Lovely hotel, rooms and public spaces reflect a wonderful past. Staff looked after us efficiently and cordially. Third visit will continue to return. Good access to trains stations and subway. Of course 10 minute walk to the art museums and the old city.

One of the most luxurious hotel stays I’ve experienced. I typically stay with hotels in which I have status/loyalty, but decided to go outside of my comfort zone and I couldn’t have been more impressed. So much so, that I would I stay here again or at another Meliá property.

My husband & I frequent Fine Hotels & Resorts and unfortunately this experience was not a welcoming one. We pay $1400 annually to each have our own Amex Platinum cards, our own completely separate accounts. We booked this property separately from our own unique Amex Travel portals and just had the dates aligned to where our stays were consecutive. We have never had an issue doing so in any other FHR Hotel being that our reservations are unique to our individual accounts and travel portals, however this property did not want to honor the benefits for both reservations. Very specifically, they did not want to honor the $100 property credit as they stated it was considered one stay therefore one reservation. We attempted to explain multiple times only to be arrogantly dismissed by the manager. The staff were inconsistently trained as to the benefits of the property credit because upon check-in the clerk said spa was included however and went it to much detail about how great it was and that we should considering using the credit there. At check out, another clerk said it would not be included. We were in a rush as were heading to the airport and did not have the time to sort out with a manager, even though I’m sure he would have dismissed us again. All in all, not a great experience to say the least.

My husband and I just stayed at the Hotel Fenix for one night on our way back to the United States from Malaga. What a fabulous find! Charming, helpful, welcoming and delicious food. I could go on forever. The bed, pillows and amenities made this charming hotel an easy choice for a return visit!!! Our room was upgraded and we both thought..what a wonderful way to end our 5 weeks away from home. Thank you so much..reception staff, bellman and concierge!! Bravo…couldn’t be happier!!!

An Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Madrid, within blocks of the Parque Retiro and the Architecture Museum. Wonderful staff, terrific breakfast, and beautiful rooms. Solid gym if you need one, though I ended up walking all over for exercise - the hotel is so close to so much. My first stay in a Gran Melia hotel - will absolutely not be the last.
