Great hotel if you're in Madrid for a few days. The location is very central and close to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, etc. The staff were helpful and friendly also. The only slight downside was that our room was on the 1st floor and the window faced directly onto the adjoining plaza; but not a big deal. I would stay here again.

Spent 4 days in Madrid and lived this hotel. The location is very good. Walking distance to many places of interest. Very comfortable beds. The hotel is located in the middle of 2 plazas (can get a little noisy at night). Great restaurants in the area and a block away from a really nice Flamenco show.

We stayed here for 2 nights it's the perfect location to stay if you want to explore we walked everywhere from our hotel. It's a short walk to the centre where all the tour buses go from. We had breakfast included with our stay there was plenty of choices cereal, pastries, fruit, bread, jams, meats, juices, a choice of eggs with bacon etc and all teas and coffees... Hotel room was lovely plenty of space very very clean with dressing gown and slippers proved. Mini bar well stocked but expensive but that's a normal expectation for city hotels. Staff were so lovely and concierge were brilliant we were advised where to go for real tapas a little road just off the tourist trail it was amazing we really enjoyed or night we walked there from the hotel. Also she booked us in to have paella in a little Resturant 2 minutes walk from the hotel that was brilliant so quaint brilliant food !

I travel frequently for business trips typically ranging anywhere from 3 weeks - 1.5 months, so please note that my expectations may be higher than that of someone who is looking for a place to crash for a weekend (maybe a week even). I am midway through my stay at the ME Madrid Reina Victoria and cannot help but to write my review now, before I potentially forget. I work for a tech company and my role requires working frequently with international companies. I have traveled quite extensively and have stayed at my share of amazing and terrible places - the ME Madrid Reina Victoria falls a couple points under average and below I'll explain why. -Everything requires an upcharge : including having a fork delivered to your room, going to the gym, breakfast (typically including for hotels I book through my corporate site), using a robe -The rooms are small : I needed to check-in early and agreed to pay an upcharge for the highest level room, but it is still way smaller than one would expect. I must note that I've stayed in Madrid 3x prior and everytime I've stayed at the Westin, so I may be biased. With that said, if you can stay at the Westin, it's a couple blocks up and a world of a difference. -Room service not so great : the menu is already quite small but the single time I tried to order at least 4 items were unavailable and the 1 I finally was approved I received a call back saying needed to be modified. Naturally, I decided to order more food from Deliveroo and UberEats instead of the hotel and it is hit or miss whether they let the delivery person to your room. The last front desk lady outright stated the reason being the hotel has its own room service and slightly attempted to shame me when going to get the food from the lobby. -The noise level is insane : I specifically requested a quiet room because I'm here for work and cannot be bothered with late night noise. Somehow, even after paying an upcharge, I was placed in a room that receives no noise during the day but is plagued with noise from around 10pm - 4am. Let me also state that I'm 31, I think I have a decent level of tolerance for noise and respect that we are in the center, even for me it's too much. -Staff helpfulness & friendliness : not to say the staff is not helpful or friendly, but it's a world of a difference a few blocks up, at the Westin. With all of that, there are some pros: -The appearance : the hotel is relatively new looking and pretty fashionable inside. For a short stay, especially a weekend partying, you likely would not have issues with any of the above frustrations of mine. -The price : the cost per room was less than half of what I typically pay at the Westin, given that may work out differently per all of the additional fees to get the same accommodations and services, it is still at a lower base price - again, maybe not an issue if you're in town for a weekend. -The location : the hotel is also in a central location, this was one of the reasons why I gave it a shot. I hope this review provides some dynamic to previous posts, especially for those considering longterm stays.
