Stayed for 3 nights in Feb 2018, had a lovely room facing the side street, 3rd floor, large windows, comfortable king size bed, nice pillows, l-o-v-e-l-y rainshower and toiletries! Only small minuses would be the tv and it's channels, very few English news channels, only market channels such as CNCB and Bloomberg. Would be nice just to catch up with news while away from home, and they did have Russian and Chinese 24-hour news stations...but BBC World or CNN would have been nice! Also TV screen a bit small for the room we stayed in, and a bit old fashioned (was mounted to the wall though). But no biggie, as we were not there to watch tv anyway. Other small minor detail is the mood lighting, while it was lovely, it was complicated to use in the sense that each button would turn off i.e. both bedside lights, unable to turn off just one of them (incase your partner wants to go to sleep earlier, and you want to read...!?) - so it's either both lights on, or both out. Location was superb, area clean and we felt very safe wandering the neighbourhood even late at night. Saw a fabulous Flamenco show at La Taberna de Mister Pinkleton near market San Miguel and visited all the main sights, also took the 24 hour hop on hop off bus tour which was great. Staff was very efficient and lovely and always smiling & helpful. Definitely recommend staying here.

The most perfect location for exploring Madrid. 10 minutes walk from the Prado and Plaza Mayor. The hotel is surrounded by excellent restaurants and bars, the radio rooftop bar is stunning. We loved having a night cap there. Staff at the ME hotel are wonderful. Polite, with excellent English. We arrived at 12pm and were greeted with water and an early check in. As we were staying 5 nights and had booked a standard room, we were given the option to upgrade to a plaza facing room for 40€ a night. We looked at both rooms and decided to upgrade as the room was much bigger and had floor to ceiling windows overlooking the plaza angel. It was worth every penny. Our room was on the 4th floor, it was super quiet. The design of the room is excellent, we had a small hallway with a wardrobe and safe, there was a door separating this from the bedroom, which means no noise from the corridors. The room was large with a luxurious bathroom, the large massage shower was an added bonus. The hotel have thought of everything, hairdryer, toothpaste and toothbrush, even mouthwash are available in your room. Robe and slippers are also provided and changed regularly by housekeeping. Aaptiva toiletries are replenishes each day. The bed was super comfy, with a choice of down or synthetic pillows. The lighting was amusing, especially the hey sexy pink lights! TV has lots of channels, mostly Spanish but there are a few English movie channels if you fancy a chilled out evening. The maxi bar in our room was well stocked, and reasonably priced. The only one issue was no tea or coffee making facilities in our room. This would be a very welcome addition. There is no gym at the hotel but the Metropolitan gym and spa is just next door. We used this most days and cost 11€ each. The gym is full of weights and cardio equipment and far superior to any hotel gym we have used. The spa was wonderful, big jacuzzi with different massage jets, a sauna and steam room. Sadly it was closed for renovations the day after we arrived but if we returned to Madrid we would definitely use it again. We had a perfect stay in Madrid, lots of this was down to the perfection of the ME hotel and its location. We considered lots of other hotels but this was by far in the nicest location. We will definitely return to Madrid and always to this hotel. Perfection.

Had great experience. Nice large room (303) overlooking small square. Had breakfast included with room. Great breakfast options. Service is exemplary. Absolutely the best we’ve experienced. Restaurant recommendations, tour assistance, hot water pot for room, enthusiasm, pleasantness. Unbeatable! Centrally located near restaurants and attractions. Ten minute walk to the Prado. Twenty minute walk to the Palacio. Highly Recommend.

I have recently visited the ME Madrid for a 4 days stay in occasion of a birthday celebration and we felt welcomed from the very first moment. The location is simply perfect just 5 minutes walking from puerta del sol and gran via; 3 minutes from plaza mayor & 10 minutes from prado museum. The area is always crowded, we used to go out for dinner around 10 pm and stay out till late and on our way back we have felt safe all the time. I am a really precise and meticulous person so I wanted my future husband's birthday to be the unforgettable and the Aura Team made it come thrue. A special thank you to Inma and Miriam from the team and to all the staff of the front desk. The radio bar is nice and cosy, the bloody Mary was excellent!! Definetely will visit again.
