Hotel was recently renovated and far exceeded my expectations. The breakfast buffet is huge and amazing. Lucia in customer relations was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with all our needs- from accommodations to sightseeing, eating establishments and planning. This will be my hotel whenever in Madrid.

The hotel is very nice, well maintained and in a great location, close to the main museums and the city center. The staff is exceptional, always friendly and very helpful, they make you feel at home from the moment you arrive to the one you leave.

We found this hotel to be ideal, close to major museums, restaurants, shopping, and the high speed rail station. In addition, the service we found with all staff was excellent. That said, one individual in particular stood out among the rest. She worked in guest relations at the Hotel del Prado, and her name was Lucia. Too much to good to say about her, so I’ll just say NH is fortunate to have her on their staff. Marty Spellman

I’m in Madrid because Real Madrid match and I really don’t know anything about city and staff is perfect. They are always helped us. Especially Lucia, the concierge, helped us wonderfully from the first day. Thanks to her, I can say that I am now attached to this hotel. thanks.

It was decent, but not exactly as overwhelming to the mark of NH collection hotel range as you would expect them to be. I booked a room with a view but my room was facing an under construction building and garbage cans. When asked about it, I was told a room with an outside window is considered a view room. I made a request to the relationship manager for room change, which she was reluctant to consider initially, but after some discussion offered me a smaller room with a very good view. It was not a bad negotiation but wasn't ideal either. After this initial hiccup, things improved for the better. The location of the hotel is excellent and anything which you would be interested in is just walking distance. The breakfast spread was pretty good, and had some good options on demand. The restaurant staff was also very warm and attentive. in the end they also considered my late checkout request which earned them some additional points in my review. Overall it's a decent choice with some precaution about the room quality.
