Reviews for Westin Palace Madrid

Very disapponting stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Planned a reward 3night stay in mid April for my wedding anniversary at this property, where I stayed long time back with my family. Check-in was smooth but very cold without any kind of information about the property ( major renovation works are ongoing ). I was “upgraded” to an executive refurbished room which was decent but certainly not spacious ( we didn’t know where to place the second suitcase ) nor had any balcony as requested upon making the booking ( 2 months before! ). Breakfast is served under the famous dome which is always nice but the food variety was average and the aged men waiters attitude was very indifferent. The second night we asked for the turn down service at 8pm and to our surprise, upon our return from dinner, we found out that no one came. The last night happened the same thing so we called downstairs and a guy reassured us that the maid would have refreshed the room instantly . Once again nobody came so the day after I expressed my sincere disappointment while checking out. The receptionist called a young woman “supervisor” who apologized and reassured me that my Bonvoy Ambassador account would have been credited with some generous points amount to compensate such unpleasant inconvenience. Well, it’s been a month that I checked out and even this promise got unfulfilled.. A very poor customer experience overall. I will certainly opt for the nearby JW Marriott next time where I stayed few months ago with a much better service and recognition.

Old world elegence

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

This hotel can best be described as old world luxury. Starting with check in and continuing throughout our 5 day stay we experienced first class treatment at every turn. The common areas were spectacular in their elegance and grace. Our room was recently renovated and was tastefully decorated with gleaming white wainscoting and crown molding, creating an almost opulent ambiance. The room and bedding were so cozy and comfortable it was hard to venture out into the city. I really feel this hotel is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at!

fine

newly refreshed guest rooms are mostly great except for bathroom/shower door placement which leads to big slippery mess. the concierge sent us to a restaurant so bad it tainted our whole trip. the location isn't great because the neighborhood is kind of sad and dead. wish we spent a bit more for somewhere nicer because this place is really just a Marriott with a fancier name.

Pleased Despite Construction

Enjoyed a short stay as an American tourist visiting Madrid for the first time. Location is excellent; Starbucks downstairs, Prado across the street, and other major tourist sites within walking distance. Service was as expected from the Westin brand. Elena at the front desk was particularly helpful in placing us in the right room category. The hotel is undergoing major construction on some guest room floors and the exterior, and we were warned about noise at check in, but nothing interfered with our stay. The renovated rooms are beautiful - probably the best Westin room I’ve ever had. Request a room without a connecting door, though. The hotel feels rock solid, but our neighbors through the connecting door sounded like they were in the room with us.

Great hotel in the heart of Madrid

Classic luxury hotel in the heart of Madrid; stayed several times. Rooms are not very spacious but very well maintained and well equipped. Service is very friendly and helpful.

I just returned The Palace package that I purchased from Luxury Link. It was absolutely lovely. The room was marvelous and the people were so nice and helpful. I must say it was quite a buy. Thank you.

Just returned from 5 night stay in junior suite at Westin Palace Madrid. Breakfasts were excellent as was the dinner. The front desk was very helpful, room comfortable, spacious and well equipped with luxury bath and delightful bed. Service outstanding. Overall, a first class hotel in Madrid. Five nights was just the right amount of time to see Madrid and surrounding sights. This was an excellent value through LL.

My husband and I traveled to Madrid this year and had booked a room at the Westin Palace for three nights. They put us on the special VIP guest floor in a spacious deluxe room with a magnificent marble bathroom and view of the city. If that wasn't enough, they also included a sumptuous breakfast buffet!

The Westin Palace, Madrid, was grand and our accommodations pure luxury. And their dining room served the best roast lamb in town.

I can't say enough about the Westin Palace Hotel-Madrid in Spain. Everything was superb. The room was spacious and very comfortable. I thought that the service was first-rate. Throw in perfect weather like I had and you have the ultimate Madrid experience.
