Reviews for Westin Palace Madrid
It was refreshing to find a historic hotel that managed to make an ode to its own grandure whilst ensuring that in-room facilities and the general finish was both polished and up-to-date. The staff couldnāt be more attentive or efficient (particular thanks to the lovely girls on reception! truly wish Iād remember your names... you were amazing!) We did not use the hotel restaurants privately, although I must say that the catering provided for delegates was spot-on - I am a very critical guest and could place no fault whatsoever... thank you for taking such good care of my colleagues and I! My husband (who travelled with me) has spent over 20 years working in the luxury hotel industry - so this review is based on experience. Only criticism would be that despite staying in an excecutive suite, were were still asked to pay a premium for hi-speed internet access - we understand that some older couples may be okay with āfreeā wi-fi, but young professionals just cannot do a lot with 1.5 Mb per day!!! I think it would have been much more acceptable (and innofensive) to roll it into the room rate. Lastly - although great, the official/guest photos simply DO NOT do justice to this amazing hotel!!! If the oportunity arises we would certainly like to return.

The Palace seems like a monument, beautifuly decorated and located a few steps from the three most important museums. Multiple choices of restaurants and bars nearby. Close to Plaza Santa Ana and Atocha railway station. Extremely comfortable and clean accommodation and excelent bath facilities. Service and staff simply perfect. The hotel to stay visiting Madrid.

I spent 4 nights at this hotel and it's definitely situated in a great location. The Museo del Prado is 1.5 blocks away, train station 10 minute walk and the popular main plazas up the street. I enjoyed my stay here but did have issue with my bed. The bed had an indentation and I kept sliding to the foot of it. This was disappointing given that I look forward to the Heavenly beds at Starwood hotels. My new room was located on the executive floor which recently underwent renovations. It had a very contemporary decor which I could appreciate. However, I think I like the traditional look better as it suits the ambiance of the hotel. Views from either room were lacking. I initially was on the interior side of the building looking down on the atrium dome and across from other rooms. My second room faced a side street and was incredibly noisy. I must mention that I do wonder how people in wheelchairs or with limited mobility navigate this property. I didn't see a ramp leading into the hotel nor leading to the main lift. Iām assuming thereās a separate entrance. Overall, I would stay at this property again as I enjoyed exploring this neighborhood and of course, the hotel is beautiful.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Westin Palace while on a business trip. The hotel is simply magnificent. The staff was amazing. I would highly recommend. The pictures just do not do it justice.

The Westin Palace is an outstanding hotel in a great location. It is a historic property, which adds to its charm, but it has modern amenities. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and fully renovated. Typically very comfortable Westin bed. The room had a lot of character but had modern amenities such as many outlets for electronics and a modern bathroom. The bar and restaurant are simply beautiful, with excellent food and service, but exceptionally expensive even for Madrid. Service in the hotel is not overly friendly, but all of the managers and staff are professional, responsive and knowledgeable. It remains our go-to hotel when we are in Madrid.
