Hi Everybody!! I have to recognize that I was a little bit worried about this trip. After 7 years travelling with our kids. This time, we decided to come alone without kids. I was looking for a special places many weeks and finally, we came to Bayan Tree Seychelles. The experience was wonderful and we recomend to everybody this place. Most probably in the most beautiful places in Seychelles and why not?? maybe in the world. We booked a Villa in the Montain with Sea view and we enjoyed a lot. Excellent Villa, excellent swimming pool. I have to say that before to come I was reading some coments not very positive about this place; but trust me, the place is wonderful, the villas are fantastic and the beach is one the best in the world. The Hotel has a Thai Restaurant that is excellent, calls Saffran and we enjoyed very much a delicious and romantic dinner. Maybe, the weaknees point would be the International Restaurant, but if you have to qualify this Hotel I would say 9.5 over 10. I travel a lot, almost every week around the world, but this time was very special because this trip was with my wife. I don't use to write in this page, but this time I felt that I was forced becuase the service, the place and the location were outstanding. Thanks Bayan Tree, for sure we will be back!!!

I was under impression that Banyan tree is a super chain of hotels and that it has no mistakes. I blindly booked at Banyan tree Seychelles without even thinking , because I trust the Brand and very sure that it is going to be one of the most wonderful hotel stays ever. but the truth is shocking ... really shocking other than the beach , nothing worth staying at this hotel . it is more than 15 years old . SERVICE IS TERRIBLE ( I had to call more than 4 times to get my call answered and then to wait for almost an hour to get my request done) ! I was charged twice for the room rate ! due to hotel mistake I was given higher rate for delaying my stay for one night only !! and more and more

Everything was amazing at first sight.Their hospitality and special complimentary during our stay was superb. Honestly,we loved the hotel and the ambiance. But when our 600 dollars were stolen from our both wallets before our tour trip day, i felt so disappointed and sad.And I didn’t feel happy last 2 days. They told that it is the first thief problem in the hotel. At first we trust to the hotel stuff and could not imagine that something happens. But it realizes! The problem is not how much money was stolen, is that they made me wait for 2 days just 5 min. explanation. And they said that it is first time happened and that’s all! They don’t have any cam and they didn’t check it!But before this conversation they told us that they are checking we have waited for 2 days!Furthermore they didn’t offer reimbursement or any other apologizing way. Anyway I am writing this because I feel so disappointed and silly.Hope it was never happened but it was!

We were booked for two nights in the Banyan Tree Resort in Seychelles ( 20 & 21 Nov. 2017 ), we arrived to the resort at 07:00 pm but the room was not ready and we have to wait till 09:00 pm to go to our room, we were given villa no. 408 which to our surprise was a dreadful room considering we are in one of the best five star resorts in Seychelles, the furniture was very old and damaged and properly was not changed since the resort inception in 2002 the door is very primitive with no security keys at all ( old hand key ) and the room atmosphere is mainly dull and not relaxing, it have an open closets inside the toilet which I have never seen before, and around midnight a class shelf with lotion jar fell down on the bathroom with the class scattered all over the place, and we have to call the house keeping to come and clean it and then security came to make an investigation report of the incident which indicated that the shelf support was old and not suitable to carry the weight which it seem that only today it was don since long time all this had took some while before we can go back to sleep, not to mention the deferent insects we have flying in our room which made me and my wife decide that we should leave the resort first thing in the morning and to go to a decent five star resort which we did and went to the H Resort.

I would have really loved to give Banyan Tree five stars, because nearly everything about the resort is truly spectacular. My wife and I went for our honeymoon and stayed in an Ocean View Pool Villa, which I would highly recommend. We were offered an “upgrade” to a Beach Villa, which apparently is larger, but Ocean View is definitely the way to go. The views of the ocean are simply incredible and the amount of privacy each villa is afforded is a feat of planning and engineering; despite villas being fairly close to each other, there is nearly no way to see another villa due to good designed and surrounding foliage – it feels as if you are truly alone on the cliff side with sweeping views of the bay from your private infinity pool. More of the good: the food was excellent, particularly at Saffron which has some of the best Thai food we’ve had outside of Thailand. The beach is gorgeous and often times you feel like you’re on your own private island. All of the facilities are very well designed and well kept up. The main restaurants are a great place to eat breakfast or lunch with beautiful views of the beach and ocean. The main pool area is also great. Most of the service was great, including Saffron, Danuka who served us our private beach side dinner (highly recommended), cleanliness of our room, and the staff was generally very friendly and helpful. The reason I can’t give five stars is because of the service. For what you are paying (which is still worth it given the facilities), you truly should receive excellent service. Upon arriving we were brought to our room which was “ready” but it actually was still very dirty and clearly not ready. Service at breakfast left a lot to be desired, with no one there to greet us several times and us awkwardly waiting 5+ minutes to be seated (with many tables open), and our coffee taking ~10 minutes to arrive and us having to ask again. Despite us calling buggies (which transport from your villa to dinner, beach, etc.) 45-60 minutes ahead of time scheduling a pickup, they were consistently 10-15 minutes late which made us late for reservations. None of these things are huge deals and I hate being a stickler for less than perfect service, but you add all these little things up I don’t think the service is up to par for what you’re paying. Banyan Tree is an amazing place and I would still definitely recommend it, but I think the service can and should be improved to make this truly a perfect place.
