Cerf is a very small island and the Island Resort is a little hide-away. The lodges are spacious and very comfortable. Two nice pools, a tennis courts and a snorkeling center. Staff is friendly and attentive. We loved the breakfast with it's personal touch. Dinner was a little bit of a mixed experience, but the kitchen and the staff always went the extra mile to do something more for you. We were thrilled about the birthday cake that we got for our son's birthday. Thank you.

We stayed for just over 2 weeks. Gloriously relaxing and memorable for so many positive reasons - wonderful villa, great food (mostly fish and fruit), the quiet, the sea life, the birds, the beach, snorkelling, kayaking and most of all, the staff and management. Can't wait to go back!

An excellent resort located in the heart of the Seychelles conservation area. Spent 6 magical days there on our honeymoon and we could not have asked for a better location. Staff were friendly and helpful and shared good knowledge of the area and things to do. The flexibility of taking your canoe and paddle boat to nearby islands enabled us to share some magical moments on remote islands along the way. Thanks to the Cerf team Foram, Prakash, Fatima, Sam, Georgia and the snorkelling team.

We visited this resort at the end of May for 2 weeks. Cerf Island is beautiful. Weather fabulous and the resort excellent. Prakash met us at the jetty and after a welcome drink and checkin we had a short tour of the site. We were celebrating our 35th (Coral) wedding anniversary and the staff made our stay a truly wonderful experience. Snorkelling, kayaking, Anniversay meal on the beach and first class meals throughout. We were upgraded to a Hideaway Villa which was lovely...private garden with sun loungers, four poster bed, jacuzzi, outdoor shower,. luxury toiletries etc. Special mention for 'Sammie'? at the bar and the breakfast waitress (sorry, can't remember names. Evening waiters / waiters very professional and friendly. Creole nights were charming with a Seychellois singer. Any requests / questions were dealt with promptly. The Marine Park is gorgeous with many different fish and coral to marvel at in a safe, clean environment. Some University students showed us their coral 'nurseries' and were very knowledgeable. They were obviously very passionate about ecological issues. We used the hotel boat for visits to Victoria with its colourful markets, shops and Botanical Gardens. A very peaceful holiday and some magical memories! Thanks again for a fabulous time.

We visited Cerf Island Resort just under two weeks ago and we had an absolutely amazing time. We arrived on the Sunday and took a quick boat (lads on the boat were very friendly) from Mahé to Cerf Island, must have took all of 10 minutes. After we arrived we were quickly greeted by Prakesh who shown us around the island and got us all introduced and up and running before showing us to our villa. The villa was very nice indeed, it was one of the tortoise villas that had two separate rooms connected by the balcony, both with their own bathrooms. Our villa was named Bwanwanr (Black Tree) and it had a lovely view of the sea and the island of Mahé. The villa was clean and well maintained, as it was throughout the week by the staff during our stay. The island itself is very picturesque, full of many trees, plants and various wildlife (birds, fruit bats, palm spiders, geckos and big snails!) Everywhere you look on the island there is something that catches your eye, it really has some lovely scenery. The beaches have white sand and clear sea, there is rather a lot of seaweed lying on the beaches as we visited during monsoon season, but just go to a bit where there isn't any, problem sorted! There is a hiking trail on the island that you have to walk along the beach to get to it, the only criticism being that it isn't well signposted because we walked the whole length of the beach and couldn't find it, and we were pretty knackered by the time we started walking back so we decided to pass on it, but probably get some exact directions to the entrance if anyone would want to try it. I would highly recommend snorkeling in the sea around the island to anyone, it was breathtaking seeing all of the different kinds of fish and coral, the water is clear enough to see to the bottom and you will be in for a treat with the abundance of different things to see. Despite not managing to see a sea turtle (sobs in corner) I did manage to catch glimpses of many different fish, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, and starfish. You can snorkel by yourself or book to go with one of the team at the resort that will take you around the specific trails to see the best stuff. All the staff were extremely friendly and pleasant, the grounds staff were always willing to say hello and smile, they also did a great job keeping the place tidy and maintained. The resort has two infinity pools, one small one near the reception and a larger one near the main beach, they were both good, both overlooking the sea and the island of Mahé. The tennis court is located high up on the resort near the helipad, when you get up there, there is a fantastic view of all the neighboring islands so don't forget your camera when you go up. The food was absolutely exceptional, can't fault it at all, it was very nice. Breakfast you get a menu with plenty of options from fresh fruit (the local passion fruit is really tasty) to croissants, omelettes and bacon. Dinner menu you choose soup, appetizer, main and dessert, every night there was something different and every night the food was well presented and delicious. Once again the dining staff were very pleasant and friendly. There is not a huge amount to do at the resort, you can get a boat to the neighboring islands and to Victoria where you can then explore the capital city and Mahé to your pleasure. There are also pedalos and canoes available to use but this place is ideal for people who want to relax in utter peace and quiet, read a book and enjoy the sun, sand and sea. Overall can't praise Cerf Island Resort high enough, we had an amazing time and we highly recommend it to anyone!
