Probably the best hotel I have stayed at. The quality of the service is amazing, very personal. They only have 10 rooms or villas, each with their own swimming pool, and they know each client by their first name. The chef of the restaurant is excellent and they can accommodate anything you want. It’s a luxurious boutique hotel, a small paradise with stunning views in the middle of the forest but very close to the village. Monkeys, squirrels and iguanas are also enjoying the property, which makes it even more exotic. Would definitely go back.

Casa chameleon made our dream honeymoon come true. The staff was fantastic and very warm and welcoming from Lara at reception welcoming us as soon as we pulled up to a Esteban bringing us welcome cocktails as soon as we sat down. The villa was amazing with amazing views and amenities. We couldn’t have asked for anything more except to be able to extend our stay even longer! We hope to return for our future wedding anniversaries!

We arrived late for our check-in and received a personal note to worry about check-in the next day. The evening guard carried our heavy bags to our villa and that set the tone for the stay. We spent the next several days starting with a delicious breakfast provided by a friendly and courteous staff. Each day we were given great tips for where to go and what to eat. We came back every day with our rooms cleaned ear to ear. We always received a warm welcome back and became fast friends with many of the staff. We even had a 3 course Thanksgiving meal prepared by the chef.

I stayed here with my fiancé now husband to get married on the beach last February. we chose one of the bigger rooms that were priced the most expensive due to the size. Little did we know that the room needed some major renovations to NOT let bugs, critters into the room at night. the room has huge accordion style doors that open all the way and when you shut them there is about a 2 inch gap along the bottom. now mind you these doors spread the length of the entire room. We had HUGE spiders crawling all over the walls and enormous ants also. I couldn't sleep at night knowing they could possibly fall and crawl onto our heads and bed as the head board was attached to the wall. on top of that, we had a screaming gecko in the room that sounded like a dying bird, I kid you not! it was a horrible room, especially on my trip for my wedding. there were no other rooms to be switched to since the hotel has only 8-10 rooms. this room needs to be fixed for guests to be able to enjoy. also the ac in the room wouldn't blow cold and the gaps under the doors prevented the air from staying inside. The bathroom has a window like vent that does not have the option to close. this room was at the bottom of the hotel. lovely staff and even better food but this room was no bueno!

My wife and I loved our stay at Casa Chameleon. It was exactly what we were looking for--off-the-beaten path solitude with options for adventure. We really enjoyed the two activities that we did: (1) renting an ATV and jaunting over to Montezuma and (2) fishing with Captain Toto. A highlight of the trip was having Casa Chameleon's chef prepare our freshly-caught tuna for dinner and breakfast! Our room had an incredible view of the ocean and the valley below, and the wide-open glass doors were a nice touch (though I will mention that the open feel allows a few bugs to get in). I would highly recommend Casa Chameleon for those that are looking for a luxurious adventure.
