Right on the beach in the most amazing part of the world. Perfection in every way. Staff was attentive but not too attentive. Great people all around. I love this place and hope to be back many many times.

At the last minute, the Mrs. and I were looking for a nearby spot for a weekend staycation. We are partial to the ocean, and had considered the usual spots in Santa Monica. On a whim, we gave Malibu Beach Inn and try, and we fell in love. We were in an oceanfront room, and kept our sliding glass door to our balcony open at all times. There is nothing better than hearing the ocean waves while you sleep. The room was fair sized, but more than enough for just the two of us. Large TV was right in front of the bed for ideal lazy afternoon viewing. Beach staff was fantastic and attentive. We also ate dinner at the restaurant, ordered room service, and ate beachside -- and the food was surprisingly great. In short, it was perfect for us. Some notes: 1. The shower was great, but bathrooms in general aren't large. At least not in our room. No big soaking tub. We didn't care. 2. The "Spa" consists of one room. If you are looking for a big "spa" experience, this isn't it. The being said, the massages were great. 3. This is a boutique hotel in almost every way. No lobby to speak up, no pool, small spa. These were all more than fine for us, but may not be for everyone if you are craving a big hotel beach experience. (Casa Del Mar or Shutters would be a better choice for that crowd). Five stars all the way for us1

Everything was perfect starting with the attention at the front desk until the coziness of the room. This was probably the best beach getaway we had. And the proximity to the beach and the tides was fascinating. We turned the fire place on every night to warm up the room and left the balcony door opened and we could hear the tides right there, so close, almost too loud! The restaurant at the lobby level, just above the sand, is perfect as well. Those were amazing six days. Highly recommend Malibu Beach Inn!

Great location, excellent staff, and wonderful Ocean Views. The Malibu Beach Inn never fails to impress, the rooms are very clean, the cocktails and food very moorish. They certainly seem to be getting it right, as people keep coming time and time again.

I stayed here for a few nights after a retreat. It was the prefect place to spend a few days recovering from lots of hiking! Rooms are beautiful, overhanging the sand, with an arm chair and a fire place. The restaurant also overhangs the beach and the waves crashing so close by is just lovely. Nearby is NOBU and Malibu Farms on the pier. All an easy amble across the sand... Really relaxing stay.
