We staid one night in this hotel. After arriving they invited is to have some cava while they fulfill all the papers. They did us an upgrade of room..and the room was just incredible, very big, with a private garden with our own swimming pool and jacuzzi in there..amazing.

In the first week of June we visited Gran Hotel Son Net for the third time in 18 months. It is without doubt the most tranquil, beautiful relaxing hotel in Spain if not in Europe. We have travelled to Mallorca many time over the past 10 years staying at properties like Son Julia and La Residencia but nothing compares with Son Net and the wonderful staff. The setting is quite stunning in a very quiet valley surrounded by mountains, all you cane here as the sun goes down is the occasional dog in the village in the valley and the sounds of the swifts and martins returning the their roosts for the night. The staff could be friendlier or more helpful and yes I have read reviews which say that it can be slow but I have never had a single issue with service in three stays totalling 20 nights. The only slight fault I could identify is the menu and the fact that it doesn't change. The food is fabulous but once you have tried everything on the menu their are no other options. Last time we stayed their in September 2016 we made this comment and asked if they couldn't add some simple classics like fillet steak or a simple fish course for this who had done the menu and wanted some simple fare. This June they had added Chateaubriand to the menu which was superb. The rooms, lounges, terraces, pools are all to die for and in simply beautiful setting. We have just booked again for this September and we can't wait.

One of the most beautiful hotels in Mallorca on Sierra Tramuntana which is a Unesco Patrimony. I keep this place very close to my heart. One needs a car to get there. The rooms are fantastic and all different. Food is very good as well.

We stayed in a deluxe pool room for 7 nights. The hotel was originally built as a farm in 1652 and lots of original features have been retained. This is a luxury hotel that oozes class. There were guests of all ages but mainly couples with few children staying . Our room spacious and lovely with 2 sets of French doors and a lovely seating area. There are 4 deluxe pool villas which each have their own private hot tub and share a 25 or 30 m pool. The views from the pool are gorgeous. Each rooms enjoys its own private segment of the pool but the segments are joined to allow length swimming. Indoor and outdoor dining are available and 2 restaurants- one serves lunch and the other,Oleum, serves dinner. Breakfast is also served there or on the terrace. The food is high end and the staff are very well trained. Majorcan specialities are emphasised at breakfast with local butter, preserves, meats, fruits and tomatoes. Cooked options include a delicious potato omelet. The main pool is supplemented by two further pools. No pools are heated but this isn't a problem. Drinks service is good and complimentary healthy fruit snacks are beautifully presented. The lobby and bar areas are beautifully decorated and maintained with a lovely outdoor courtyard. Any meal can be served in the romantic treehouse at extra cost. It is a ten minute walk to the local village-uphill on the way back- should you fancy visiting Ca Sa Nina,Ca'an Jordi or The Rose Bistro for a drink or a more rustic meal. This is a welcoming village and there is a bus service to Palma a few times a day. Only 2.20€ one way.A taxi is about 35€. There is a great local hillwalk that takes 4 1/2 hours from the hotel, returning to the village for much needed refreshments and food. The hotel has two white donkeys and the miniature pony had a tiny foal when we were there.

It's not often you go somewhere that is better in real life than on the website/images you find online. This place is the definition of relaxing. Gorgeous panoramic surroundings of the hills and green in every direction. The food is very good. The rooms are lovely, not super modern but lovely and perfectly fitting with the rest of the hotel. There is a classy feel about the whole place and you can tell a lot of thought has been put into small things, such as the comfort of the chairs (sounds silly but to sit in the outside bar, by the fountain, in the sun was delightful) and the superb drinks made by the barmen etc. I am the type of person who thinks the world is too big to go back to the same place. However, I would struggle not to return one day. Marks out of 10 are 9.9 - the missing 0.1 was because the swimming pool is too cold (no really, it is COLD) and that's because all water comes down from the mountains and is ultra fresh and therefore they don't heat it. Some people might like this. Otherwise fantastic in every way.
