As we were unable to book a room at the hotel as it was full, we stopped off for lunch. The hotel was just as we remembered it from 2 years ago Spectacular location, breathtaking views, friendly & courteous staff. What else could you possibly want?

It does not get better than this! This hotel is perfection from the rooms, the views, the staff (Adrianna, Jose) and everyone else. Best G&T (thanks Jose). It’s is 5 star at its highest. Didn’t want to leave. Do not hesitate to book - you will not be disappointed!

My husband booked this hotel for a short honeymoon after we got married. The setting is stunning and the hotel itself is beautiful inside and out. Our room had a separate entrance with a little private courtyard which was really nice for sitting in outside in the evening and having a few drinks. The room was oldy worldy and quirky with the most comfortable, massive bed! The food was incredible and I would definitely recommend the BBQ night on the outside terrace if you're lucky enough to be staying when it's on. I think the one thing that let this place down was the service at meal times - for a five star hotel I would have expected a bit more attentiveness. We stayed for four nights and three out of four mornings we had to catch the waiters attention to take our breakfast order. We also waited a long time to get drinks while we ate outside for the BBQ night; again having to catch the waiters eye to remind them. The front house were great and the staff who came and replenished the water each evening was a nice touch. The pool area is also really nice but there is a charge to hire a cabana. For the cost of staying at the hotel I would expect that these would be openly available to guests.

When I heard a Birthday party was being planned to take place here it was no surprise to me that they had chosen this exclusive amazing location for their milestone birthday party celebration as I had been lucky enough to have visited the Son Net along with the party host many years earlier. If you want to stay in a Grand Hotel where your every whim is catered to by staff who go out of their way to provide the highest top end service then there is no where else on the Island like the Son Net and there’s the gourmet food served in fabulous surroundings in the hotel restaurant’s or superb by the pool, and then there’s the breakfast buffet at the Son Net, perhaps one of the best such buffet breakfast displays in the world. The Son Net is about 35-40 minutes drive from the Airport, as soon as you enter the village you will see see this palatial Hotel gleaming in the sun sitting high on the hillside, a beacon of superb hospitality waiting just for you.

Let me start by prefacing that the nature of our work has us traveling almost constantly, and throughout our travels we've racked up elite standings with a few larger hotel chains, so we're no strangers to excellent service. But we were came to Mallorca for some R&R time after a hectic 2 month tour of Europe, and wound up extending by not one, but two nights. I think we became unfazed and unaffected by luxurious hotels and impressive suites - there comes a point where it's hard to tell them apart. So what Gran Son Net offers was so refreshing - it is uniquely beautiful, as a lovingly restored historical Finca in the heart of the Mallorcan mountains. The vine adorned property is impressive from first sight, and only gets better as you wander through the artfully decorated halls. The owner has taken care and consideration to sprinkle his impeccable taste throughout the property. He's done a perfect job of balancing modern amenities and comforts, plush furnishings and preserving the authentic feel of the original spanish building. Tell me, when was the last time you stayed in a boutique hotel that displayed a Chagall painting? It offers the 'hands on experience' of an agriturismo, with onsite donkeys and a vegetable garden you are free to roam throughout and pick produce at your leisure. Their breakfasts proudly boast all the local vendors they support, from milk to honey to hanging cured meats. Their 'Son Net Gin' is also genuinely one of the best I've ever had. It's worth visiting the Balearics just to indulge in their house G&T. But what makes this hotel so swoon worthy isn't the Instagrammable features at every turn, nor is it the artfully decorated suites or million dollar view from the swimming pool. What set it apart for us was the staff. Their warmth is unparalleled and their attention to the details of you and your stay, is just incredibly touching. They take the time to know your name before you walk in the door, and remember that you like still water instead of sparkling or gently tease you about your (ever so slight) penchant for Baileys in your coffee at breakfast. The Hotel Manager Javier is charming and sweet, and frequently pops behind the front desk to check in guests, or offer his advice on the best 'Calo' (cove beach) in the area. The staff here go the extra mile to give a personal experience to every guest they entertain, and the familial sense among the staff themselves is just lovely to witness. They're a property who cares about each other, about you and your stay, and about treating you like family, and I feel like I'm qualified to say that's pretty rare these days. I realize this turned into a short novella, but I just want to sing their praises until I'm hoarse. This place should be on your bucket list. Every aspect: decor, food, service, rooms, pool, location etc etc merits a 10/10 from me, and I like to think I'm a tough critic. I've extended my stay on the islands by two nights already because I can't bear the thought of leaving, and I'm already planning my return trip. If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is.
