When you have a location as beautiful as Son Net, then you have a head start. However its location is matched by a beautiful building, lovely decor and, as others have commented, charming, helpful staff. We only stayed for one night but enjoyed every minute and wished we could have stayed longer! A minor point, a fully stocked mini-bar with fresh milk for tea and coffee would reflect the otherwise high standards of this fantastic hotel.

Had a lovely stay in beautiful surroundings. We were lucky to be upgraded to a ridiculously large suite. There are nice hikes from the local area. Only a short drive to Palma although we spent our time exploring the little villages.

One would expect more from a hotel at this level. Upon arrival we were offered a "welcome drink on the terrace". Upon checkout we were surprised to find a charge for this drink. We of course brought it to their attention, to which the response was "ok, we will remove it". In such a case I would at least expect an apology. When we checked in and were shown to our room we found a small note on the bed stating a wedding will take place Saturday evening and the music would be playing until 23:50! This is not an all inclusive noisy hotel. It is out of the way, surrounded by mountains and a place where people would go for some peace and quiet. Not informing guests prior to confirming the booking in such cases is outrageous. Unless you have a car it is difficult to just go out for that specific evening and when you pay that much for a room you expect to be able to use it. We found ourselves locked in our room with loud music and even louder weddings guests who were cursing and yelling the entire evening. The hotel itself is beautiful, The view of the mountains is as well. Breakfast was mediocre - I have seen much better in Majorca and at good hotels in general. Additionally, the second the breakfast was supposed to end the staff were in such a rush to clear everything that it didn't stop them when a guest wanted to take some sliced fruit and they made a face and continued clearing the food away. I have never seen such behavior. The pool needs a revamp as the paint in it is peeling and the surrounding of it is a bit green already. The rugs in the room are stained and should be updated to something that looks a bit more sanitary. So much potential, but the overall experience was unprofessional. Some of the staff was very nice.

Probably the best european hotel I have ever been, and I travel a lot. Magilcal place. Every detail is stilysh, high class royal level. Have to go there to feel it. Food incredible, not cheap but woth it. Palma is near if you must go there, but better to spend some spare time in Valldemossa or Deia that are nearby.

A hotel can do all the right things ,add all of the little special touches etc ,but if the staff aren't interested, the hotel will go nowhere. The staff here at every level are brilliant; friendly, efficient ,helpful, professional and give the impression that they are actually happy for you to be there. The hotel itself is magnificent, the modern features have been done in such a way ,that they enhance the historical building ,keeping its original feel but providing all modern comforts. The rooms are massive , light airy and extremely well appointed. Views are fantastic both from the bedrooms, public rooms and just about anywhere else around the hotel. Bar prices are a bit steep but the room service menu is very reasonable for a five star establishment. Breakfast meets every taste with a superb selection of fare. Such a relaxing place to spend some time, love it.
