Am sitting on the terrace all packed ready to leave Just had a fantastic week here Staff - to a man - have been very friendly and efficient, food excellent and the hotel itself, its setting and location are just perfect 15 mins walk to Portals Nous is recommended Not much of a beach to sit on but you can swim in the sea off the pontoon I don't have anything I can fault this hotel with Ok I didn't get my FT on one morning - that's the extent of it It is expensive but if you want the best this is it Definitely coming back here

Beautiful setting on a gorgeous property. Service was absolutely outstanding and an excellent meal for a very discerning palate. Very pricey but a good overall experience as the Sommelier was extremely knowledgeable.

We stayed for five days here. We were upgraded as platinum members into a junior suite in the main building. The room was spacious with a large balcony over viewing the pool and the sea. The bed and bedding were excellent as well as the amenities. There was always a fresh bowl of fruit in the room and nightly waters. Butler service included free coffee in the morning and daily pressing of up to two clothing items as well as shoe shining. We took the breakfast buffet as a platinum amenity . The buffet was expansive with a large selection of breakfast items. There are three pools here of varying depths with one pool being six feet deep. Pool service is excellent and there is adequate seating. The pool in the spa is large and quiet and has a jacuzzi and a separate heated indoor pool. The gym is large and well equipped. We did not get spa services. There is a small rocky beach behind the hotel but not part of it. We went to two beaches outside of the hotel and a fifteen minute drive..both of these were clean and had beach clubs that were available...Not fabulous but okay. The only non breakfast meal we had here was a room service hamburger which was totally mediocre. Highly recommend this hotel for a trip to Mallorca..quiet and luxurious with a very attentive staff

Very mixed opinion of this hotel - we stayed for 10 days in the lowest category room (Grand Double) which cost approx. €900/night - on the whole we enjoyed our stay but there were a number of issues which I wouldn't expect for a St Regis hotel: CONS - we arrived at noon and had notified the hotel in advance of our arrival time so we were hoping for an early check in (official check in is 3pm). Upon checking in, we were told the previous guest in our room was just checking out, then they would clean the room and we could check in. However, by 2pm I still hadn't heard anything so had to chase and was told abruptly just to wait until 3pm (although we eventually got the room at 230pm after I followed up again). Thi means it either took the maids 2.5 hours to clean the room (unlikely), or management forgot about us, or we were misled that the previous guest was checking out at noon and the guest actually checked out much later - same issue with late check out, we informed reception of our departure time a week in advance and the concierge said she would try to accommodate late check out. The day before we checked out, we were told we could not have a late check out - when I queried if anything could be done about this, the reception/butler was rude and condescending and eventually after a bit of back and forth, they agreed to allow us to check out 1 hour later than normal. Whilst I understand that sometimes a late check out (and early check in) is difficult/not possible, I would expect a 5* star hotel to do their utmost to accommodate us, especially as I was heavily pregnant so the idea of hanging around for 5 hours in 30 degree heat was hardly an attractive prospect. Instead, reception/the butler made the whole process as difficult as possible - service well below what you would expect for €900/night - we had a corner room with a very small balcony - I asked if we could move to a double room that had a wider balcony but was told by reception that (1) there are only 12 rooms in the entire hotel (and the rest are all suites), (2) all the double rooms are corner rooms so have a tiny balcony, (3) the hotel was 100% booked out (although it didn't seem that busy at all), so essentially the reception staff just shrugged their shoulders and said "too bad". I am not convinced that what I was told by reception was necessarily the case but if so, don't bother getting a Grand Double Room as the balcony is not very nice - butler service was mixed - for easy requests, they were quick and generally competent; for difficult requests like early check out and late check in, they were rude and condescending - butler service is not 24 hours as advertised - we returned from dinner and maid had thrown away our empty toiletries and not replaced (fairly common occurrence at the hotel) so I messaged the butler and then called later too but didn't receive any response until following morning - no rentable movies/DVDs, only TV - hotel bill overcharged us by €50 per night and when I told them of the error, they didn't immediately rectify the error until I provided evidence of the rate I had contracted to pay (I.e. reservation emails) - cleaning service was erratically timed - our room was never cleaned in the morning and when we got back late afternoon the turn down service had already been done so we never really got the benefit of two housekeeping services per day or were even certain whether there had been 2 housekeeping services per day - upon checking out, we weren't asked how our stay was or given a comments form to fill out - presumably because the hotel does not want to hear any complaints! PROS - staff at restaurant/gym/pool/bar were excellent - room was good size/comfortably furnished - good breakfast/food was generally good other than special buffet dinners which were average quality - great spa and pool facilities - family friendly as most people were families If you truly want 5* individual service, I would recommend you go elsewhere in Mallorca like La Residencia.

Nice setting, hearty welcome, room with a view, good amenities and services, incredible sea, small pool, clean, attention to details, amazing breakfast and nice dinner, great bar with good cocktails, very professional hotel director, a good starting point for small cultural trips, excellent and swift airport shuttle.
