The overall stay was perfect, never slept better, the meals were impeccable, service friendly and more than eager to help, very clean establishment, beautiful room and property and we enjoyed all the extra little touches.

We stayed 3 nights at the Reluctant Panther, including the Epicurean package. Weather for early spring was not great but staying at the Inn made the trip very enjoyable. Its location was very convenient to restaurants and shopping in Manchester. Our room on the second floor was spacious and quiet with a comfortable king bed, ample windows to gaze at Mt. Equinox, a cozy gas fireplace, good chairs for reading, Keurig coffee maker in the room and nighttime cookies. Despite complete reconstruction after a fire in 2005, the Inn presented a traditional, warm feel. Sean, the general manager, was very helpful in making arrangements for dinner, suggesting places to visit and providing a comforting smile when we were a little distressed about the weather. Other members of the staff were also extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast choices were adequate, essentially the same each day with the exception of an omelet du jour and a new muffin/pastry each day. It was a great way to start the day. An improvement would be to include a side serving of fresh fruit with the eggs/pancake offerings or make that a choice instead of juice. Coffee was fresh and choices for tea were good. Our package included dinner at the inn's restaurant. We had an excellent meal and Hunter provided fine service. Wine choices were good. My short ribs were tender, lean and tasty. My wife greatly enjoyed her arctic char. The "coffee and doughnut" dessert provided a great ending to the dinner. A very welcome touch was the afternoon tea with complementary pastry served in the lobby on Wednesday. The tea was only provided on Monday and Wednesday during the week that we visited and would have been appreciated on the other days of our stay. We have been to many bed and breakfasts and rate the Reluctant Panther as one of the overall best. We hope to be able to stay there again some time when the weather might be more conducive to outside activities.

The reluctant panther came highly praised by some co workers and i wasn't disappointed. The town of Manchester itself is really an awesome place so it's necessary you find an equally awesome place to stay. I highly advise anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay with wonderful rooms, food and staff come to the reluctant panther. Such a nice atmosphere and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Sean the manager knew the town very well and also new the surrounding area like the back of his hand. He set up a whole day of things that we could do depending on what we enjoy and his staff even helped map it out. Oh and the food is excellent! I really can't wait to go back!

The Reluctant Panther is classic, old-school Vermont! Cozy, quaint, and charming! Rooms are spacious and country chic. We were upgraded to Library Suite - very nice! All rooms recently renovated - super clean and fresh! Breakfast is delicious and made to order. All staff super nice! Highly recommend this Inn.... It's close to skiing and Manchester shopping too....

My wife and I have been very fortunate to have stayed in many wonderful places throughout the world. The Reluctant Panther Inn now is part of our list of 5 Star places. The ambiance is elegant but not pretentious. The rooms comfortable, spacious and beautifully furnished. Most important: The staff was VERY attentive, gracious and friendly. Every moment we were at the Inn we had the perception that the staff's only focus was to exceed our expectations and this was done from arrival to check-out. My compliments to everyone at the Inn who made our stay memorable. One additional point that I believe demonstrates the high quality of The Reluctant Panther Inn. (I will review the restaurant in another review). During February, our daughter was married in The Reluctant Panther. My wife and I have attended many events and none can compare to the quality of the staff, the personal effort by Sean (the General Manager) to execute an elegant and seamless event. Throughout the entire time we were guests, there was a continuous and genuine concern that everything met expectations. Everyone went above and beyond. Thank you!!
