This is a very well run property from the minute you arrive until departure. It’s what Ritz Carlton used to be as many of them are not like this ….food services is good. The bedrooms are very acceptable. Bar service is excellent…. housekeeping is very good the positioning of the hotel is very good. I haven’t any issues with this Hotel whatsoever and would recommend this wholeheartedly, especially as it’s very close to the airport and it’s easy when you have collected your car to get to this hotel but it’s not on the airport boundary it’s a great way to start any vacation, the main thing about this Hotel is that the management run this exceeded well and their disciplines are seen throughout ..,.very well done

Lovely hotel, lovely room. Good elite recognition. Nice manager. View of the yachts was great. Breakfast was very good. Only negative was the spa was very small. Just a steam room. Really enjoyed our stay. Well done. Thank very much, Oliver

TIP TOP FROM CHECK IN TO MEALS AND ROOM. JUST A ONE NIGHT STAY. FLEW IN AND NEXT DAY FLEW OUT INTERNATIONALLY ATE IN THE DINING ROOM FOR COCKTAILS AND SNACKS AND BREAKFAST. NICE LOCATION TRAFFIC NOISE WITH THE BALCONY OPEN SO COULDN’T LEAVE IT OPEN…BUT OTHERWISE A COMFORTABLE STAY.LOTS OF AREAS TO WALK IN AROUND THE MARINA.

When we checked in the weather was unseasonably bad—50 degrees and rainy. We settled in at the hotel restaurant Cork and Board for a delicious meal. Our waitress was absolutely delightful lifting our spirits with the bad weather. We asked her for outing ideas indoors and mentioned the LA Kings hockey game and she told us she was a huge hockey fan from Philly. We returned to our room and much to our delight and surprise the concierge called and offered us complimentary tickets to the LA Kings hockey game! That is a memory we will never forget and beyond personalized service! We will be back when the weather is better!

I love this brand, but this hotel is not living up to it. When I checked in my room had no heat and I had to have an engineer come, who set the temp at 85 to get the heat to turn on? Lobby bar has a weird layout where (as a solo business traveler) if you want to read with your meal you have to sit at the bar, with a bunch of loud guys. On a glorious sunny April day in LA the next morning, the pool was largely closed (repairs underway (could you do these in the winter?), 1 umbrella for c 50 chairs, had to call room service on my cell to have somebody come out to serve a drink)). Was supposed to be upgraded due to my extremely loyal status, but my key didn’t work in the lounge and the upgrade was really nothing. When you check in you learn about a sudden $40 a day charge which you can use for a food credit, but seriously? This should have been disclosed before booking, which I did directly on the Marriott site. Many odd smells on my floor (11) that seem like air conditioning gone wrong? Decor really tired and everything feels like it is unloved by the parent company. Won’t be back, sadly.
